Yellowstone is one of the most common American neo-western dramas. It was created by Taylor Sheridan and John Linson and aired for five seasons and fifty-three episodes on the Paramount Network from June 2018 to December 2024.

The story revolves around the Dutton family. He owns the Yellowstone Dutton Ranch, Montana's largest cattle ranch, and their disagreements with property developers, Yellowstone National Park, and local Native tribes.

The series mainly stars Kevin Costner, Kelly Reilly, Cole Hauser, and Luke Grimes and blends rural life, power struggles, and family drama. Yellowstone spawned prequels such as 1883 and 1923, and the series is currently expanding with more spin-offs planned.

The Yellowstone sequel follows the couple's administration of a new Texas ranch with their adopted son, Carter, and stars Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser as Beth and Rip. Set outside of Montana, it continues under Taylor Sheridan's direction while adding new characters, such as Annette Bening, and new hurdles, blending well-known personalities with a unique narrative.

The Yellowstone universe is expanding with a new spinoff starring Kelly Reilly and Cole Hauser as Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler, and this unique program will look at the next chapter of their lives after the last series concluded. To give the production team additional time to build the story, the spinoff will now debut in 2026, but an official release date has yet to be determined.

The series will mainly focus on Beth and Rip managing a new ranch. This spans several thousand acres in Texas, and this is the first time a Dutton family member has operated a ranch outside Montana. This offers new opportunities and challenges for the characters. Moving the story to a different location could introduce fresh conflicts and storylines while keeping the central themes of family and ranch life intact.

Carter, the teenage kid adopted by Beth and Rip in the original series, will return in the spinoff. His presence demonstrates the growth of the temporary family while also providing continuity for followers. Throughout his story, viewers will see Beth's and Rip's kinder, more loving sides as they combine their ranch employment and parental responsibilities.

New characters will also appear in the spinoff. This majorly includes Annette Bening. She is a powerful Texas ranch owner who may bring drama to the storyline. Taylor Sheridan, along with a number of original producers, continues to act as executive producer. This way, she helps to maintain the tone, drama, and complexity that made Yellowstone so great. Notably, due to his role in the main series, Kevin Costner's character is unlikely to appear.

The Beth and Rip spinoff promises to combine familiar connections with a fresh environment and themes; however, many details remain unknown. Viewers may expect to see the couple balance family obligations, ranch life, and unexpected difficulties in Texas. This series aims to continue Yellowstone's legacy while offering a new spin on two of its most beloved characters, with a brilliant returning cast, new talent, and seasoned producers at the helm.
