9 fantasy TV show characters deserve a spinoff
9) Rowena MacLeod (Supernatural)

Supernatural is one of the most beloved fantasy TV shows. The journey to find their father also thrust them onto a terrifying path where they survived several life-threatening situations while meeting various characters. One of them is Rowena MacLeod.
The powerful witch and Crowley’s mother was among the many who made the Winchester brothers' journey difficult. Introduced as a villain in season 10, she is a complex fantasy TV show character who, with time, became a better person. A spinoff about Rowena’s 300 years of existence would be a delight to watch, as she was one of the most compelling characters introduced later in the show.
8) Kira Yukimura (Teen Wolf)

Introduced in season 3 of Teen Wolf, Kira Yukimura is one of the best fantasy TV show characters from Teen Wolf. In the fantasy TV show, Kira gradually learns about her Kitsune powers and learns to use them. She became a part of Scott’s pack and got involved in various supernatural activities in Beacon Hills.
However, Kira had to leave after season 6 as she had to train with the Skinwalkers to learn to control her abilities. Therefore, a glimpse of Kira’s life, before coming to Beacon Hills, of her journey with the Skinwalkers can create an intriguing narrative, and a spinoff of this underrated character would also make the Teen Wolf universe expand more.
7) Jason Mendoza (The Good Place)

Just like Eleanor, Jason was also mistakenly sent to The Good Place in place of a monk. The simple-minded fantasy TV show character was one of the most underrated characters of the show. While trying to solve all of his problems with Molotov Cocktail, Jason was also one of the most emotionally intelligent characters.
His loyalty and friendship with Pillboi were one highlights of their story and deserve a spinoff where we see more of the adventures of the partners in crime duo.
6) Lyanna Stark (Game of Thrones)

Game of Thrones has mentioned Lyanna Stark several times, and we have also seen him through Bran’s visions. Her love story and death both appear to be tragic, as seen in GOT. Her secret wedding to Rhaegar Targaryen and her death due to giving birth to Aegon, later known to be Jon Snow, in the Tower of Joy, was the event Bran sees in his visions.
A spinoff show on one of the most talked-about fantasy TV show characters is much needed to know more about Lyanna and Rhaegar’s story, and the eventual war that followed, known as Robert’s Rebellion, could make a perfect fantasy TV show.
5) The Crows (Shadow and Bone)

Shadow and Bone brought Leigh Bardugo’s fascinating Grishaverse to the screens. The Netflix show focused on Alina’s story, where she tries to control her powers as a sun summoner and save Ravka. The Crows are introduced in the series as Kaz Brekker, the leader of the Crows, is tasked with catching Alina.
With Kaz, Inej, Jasper, and later Nina and Wylan also become members of the gang. Bardugo has written a separate novel narrating their story; therefore, there is so much story left of the Crows to be told, and the dynamic gang surely deserves a spinoff of their own.
4) Sokka (Avatar: The Last Airbender)

Growing up in a small village and later joining Aang in his quest, Sokka is one of the fantasy TV show characters who changed tremendously throughout their journey. Sokka’s journey also involved character growth, where he learned to overcome grief without going through the anger and need for revenge like his sister, Katara.
After experiencing this level of character growth and becoming the representative of the Southern water tribe, there is not much information about Sokka’s life. Therefore, a show that would depict the life of Sokka after the events of the series would make for a compelling spinoff series.
3) Vesemir (The Witcher)

The oldest Witcher, Vesemir, played a crucial role in Season 2 of The Witcher. His character arc from trying to make more witchers to realising how dangerous Ciri’s world changes his perspective, and he apologizes to Geralt.
But that’s not all, as the novels and short stories have much more about Vesemir’s complex character, who initially was a servant; therefore, his greed for wealth remained even after becoming a Witcher. All this backstory would create a compelling narrative about a popular fantasy TV show character.
2) Dr. Martin Brenner (Stranger Things)
In the four seasons, Stranger Things has created a terrifying image of Dr. Martin Brenner. His experiments that traumatised many children, like Eleven, by forcing them into experiments to know more about their psychic abilities.
Although he died in Season 4, Brenner is one of those fantasy TV show characters that would make for a good spinoff show, where the early development of his experiments could be shown.
1) Joy Boy (One Piece)

Just like Monkey D. Luffy, Joy Boy is considered one of the important figures from a lost timeline. It is revealed that the lost timeline known as the Void Century was wiped out by the World Government. Since there is no data available, there are only rumours about a hero who existed 800 years ago.
A spinoff series with this mysterious fantasy TV show character who travelled through the Grand Line, at its centre, would be loved by fans of the series. Depicting Joy Boy’s adventures, like Luffy and Roger, can be created into a series of their own.
