The third episode of Peacemaker Season 2 definitely sheds a distinct light on the alternate dimension’s Chris’s life, which we see right from the beginning of the series when the real Chris visits the alternate dimension. After the conversation with Harcourt in his dimension, which did not turn out well, Chris decided to use the other Chris’s phone and contact Harcourt from the other dimension.

The other Harcourt instantly replied and showed interest, which drew Chris in. In the third episode of Peacemaker Season 2, Chris wakes up in the other dimension in his bed and finds his brother, Keith, trying to wake him up. In this dimension, Keith is alive, and Chris’s fame among his fans is completely different from that in the original dimension.

The alternate dimension Chris’ fame and popularity in Peacemaker Season 2

After Chris arrives and encounters the alternate Chris’s life, he is completely taken aback. In his world, he is not given the recognition of a hero. It also becomes his source of insecurity, making him try for the Justice Gang. However, the alternate dimension’s Chris seems to have anything and everything.

Not only does he have immense fame and a huge fanbase, but his life is also filled with love from his family, which the real Chris does not have. Right from the start, we see Keith from the other dimension’s concern about seeing his brother passed out. He also shows his love by making him breakfast.

To meet Harcourt, Chris goes out on his other dimension’s peace-cycle, and he is shocked to see how the people react to seeing him as Peacemaker on the street. A child begins to cry when he speaks to him. These things are completely new for him. In the real world, he is deprived of all these things. Hence, it cannot be denied that the alternate dimension Chris has been spoiled by his fame.

This can also be seen when Chris visits Harcourt at ARGUS. Harcourt explained to him the reason they were not together anymore. She also points out that his arrogance was a reason that led to them parting ways. It can be understood that the other Chris’s attitude was different. He was utterly corrupted by the success and fame he got. Alternate Chris did not have to struggle, as he was celebrated for being the way he is.

The very things that traumatized Chris are reframed and completely different in this alternate dimension. There are murals dedicated to Peacemaker, and he is constantly adored by the public. After Chris returns home, he finds his brother concerned.

They share a heartfelt moment when Keith says that he will always have him by his side. When Keith asks Chris if he is taking the pills again, it is out of genuine concern from an elder brother and not superficial. The pills that Chris finds in the other Chris’s closet are an indication of inner rot. In this world, there is no reason for the other Chris to resort to drugs, as his life can very much be said to be perfect.

The usage of the drugs and his past behaviour, which are indicated by Harcourt, show that the other Chris’s fame made him spoiled. The easy life had changed him. It is now intriguing to see how the real Chris handles this new opportunity in Peacemaker Season 2. Whether he will go back to his own dimension or stay permanently in this alternate dimension would be an interesting watch.
