The bird, Eagly, is seen hugging Chris and stealing scenes, but in season 2 episode 2, which shows Fleury storming the House, James Gunn, the creator of the show, flips the dynamic. The bird is shown not just as a mascot, but as a warrior who sensed a threat more seriously.

Eagly was ruthlessly brutal in Peacemaker Season 2, Episode 2. However, in a world that embodies moral complexity, backstabbing, and greed, Eagly's violence felt righteous when he went completely ruthless with Fleury's team.

With a plan to snoop on the Quantum unfolding Chamber fails ARGUS's Fleury and team raid Chris' home. During the sequence, Eagly's transformation is splendid as the bird goes brutal on them, making him the clearest moral centre in the show. Eagly launches into full defence mode, unleashing a John Wick-level combat. To see violence unfolding done by a bird comes with its own surprises and comedic timing.

The eagle pecks out Agent Tillerson’s eyeball and savagely attacks Agent Angler’s neck. While Fleury, despite being there, is helpless as he is "bird Blind", which doesn't allow him to identify the bird he is dealing with. It’s both hilarious and horrifying. The last shot shows Eagly standing with a wide chest triumphing over the rivals, the undisputed guardian of Chris’s domain.

This fight sequence certainly showed how Eagly isn't just a lovable pet of Chris but his extension. Their bond has grown throughout the episodes when Peacemaker is mocked and haunted by his father, unsure of his team, it was Eagly who kept him grounded. The master's affection ultimately pays off with this action sequence transforming Eagly with a brutal force of nature. He is loyal towards his master, vicious, and on point.

The scene also highlights the signature James Gunn style of infusing comedy in the most absurd moments. When we see John Wick fighting for a dog that symbolises loyalty, Eagly here becomes the dog equivalent; the only difference is that he is doing the killing himself. He delivers the expected vengeance before the master even arrives.
