Here is what Jimmy Fallon and Ted Lasso actor Jason Sudeikis talked about on The Tonight Show
Jason Sudeikis appeared on The Tonight Show in 2021 just a day after its season 2 premiere. The show host, Jimmy Fallon, known for his humour, admitted that watching Sudeikis' portrayal of Ted Lasso had moved him to tears. This highlighted the depth and sincerity Sudeikis brought to the role.
"From comedy, but also emotion. It's (the show) gonna move you, it's gonna rock you. I know Jason, and I don't know if you ever made me cry before. But (this time) you made me cry. I love Ted Lasso."
Eventually, the show again carried along its comic nature when Jimmy continued the conversation by saying that one of their crew members was busy taking some "codes" from Jason backstage to watch the rest of the episodes (unreleased at the time).
Jimmy also noted the show's outstanding achievement, receiving 20 Emmy nominations.
"By getting 20 Emmy nominations, you made television history, buddy."
Jason thanked Jimmy for the acknowledgment and said:
"It's a good feeling," he added smilingly.
