As the final week of Love Island UK unfolds, the highly anticipated 'Meet the Parents' segment returned to the villa, bringing an awkward reality check for several islanders.

In the episode airing Monday, July 28, 2025, Dejon Noel-Williams faced stern feedback from his mother, Demelza, and sister Gene regarding his controversial behavior throughout the season.

Now officially in a relationship with fellow islander Meg Moore, Dejon has attracted criticism for his flirtatious conduct and confrontations with several female contestants:

“In the beginning it was like you had verbal diarrhoea. No mother needs to hear about your threesomes and how much you looooooove s*x. I just wanted to go, ‘Shut up!’”

Demelza told Dejon, confronting him about his candid villa conversations. Mirroring public concerns over his romantic strategy, she added:

“You’re a big flirt, didn’t know that.”

Dejon didn’t take the criticism lightly and questioned whether his family had shown up just to roast him. His sister Gene stood her ground, reminding him they had been observing his behavior for weeks and that the feedback was necessary.

What happened in Love Island UK when Dejon’s mother visited the villa?

In Love Island UK’s latest family visit episode, Dejon Noel-Williams was joined by his mum, Demelza, and sister Gene, who flew to Mallorca to address his actions inside the villa. The episode, broadcasting on July 28, marked the beginning of the annual family segment, where islanders are confronted with outside opinions just days before the finale.

Demelza expressed clear discomfort with her son's oversharing and s*xual comments during his stay on Love Island UK. She remarked that early on, Dejon couldn’t stop oversharing, especially about his s*x life. Citing one moment in particular, she expressed how uncomfortable it was to hear him talk about threesomes and his love for s*x, admitting she just wanted him to be quiet.

Demelza later called out Dejon's behavior in the villa, pointing out, somewhat surprised, that she hadn’t realized he was such a big flirt. Her comment echoed what many viewers had already observed, given his interactions with Yasmin, Toni, and Shakira.

Dejon appeared taken aback by the criticism and sarcastically asked:

“You lot just come in to cook me or what?”

Gene replied directly:

“We’ve been watching you for the last how many weeks – you need this feedback!”

Their conversation followed Dejon’s recent remarks during The Grafties, where he blamed female contestants for the public’s negative perception of him. The fallout from that discussion further added to the concerns expressed by his family.

Love Island UK: Other family reunions spark tension and reflection in the villa

The July 28 Love Island UK episode also featured the arrival of Meg Moore’s mother, Nathalie, and sister Paige, who met with her in the villa shortly after Dejon’s family. On entering, the duo called out: “Where’s ‘our Meg’?”— but their mood quickly shifted as the conversation turned to Meg’s relationship choices.

During the family meeting, Paige challenged her sister about her tolerance towards Dejon’s actions. She asked Meg:

“You let him get away with a lot though, why?”

Later in the episode, Meg responded with uncertainty, asking her family

“Does everyone like D or just wary of him?”

The answer was not immediately provided on screen and is expected to come in the upcoming episode. Elsewhere in the villa, Shakira’s family arrived for their sit-down with her and her current partner, Harry Cooksley.

Shakira’s mother, Sukina, joined by her other daughter, Shanti, was especially vocal in her skepticism toward Harry. When discussing Harry with Shakira, Sukina stated:

“What I will say, with him, he can prove himself to you before he has to prove himself to me.”

The interaction between Sukina and Harry became particularly tense when he arrived with his own mother, Julia, and his best friend. Referencing his abrupt breakup with Helena, Sukina told Harry:

“We’re not hugging Harry,” and continued, “I think the whole of the UK is [surprised]. I’m sorry, but we thought it was ‘undeniable’ Harry.”

This confrontation followed Sukina’s earlier public criticisms of Harry on TikTok, where she called him a “d***head” and described the villa environment as a “cesspit.”
