"You're giving me the ick": Love Island UK's Toni and Ben open up to each other about how they're feeling

Love Island UK Season 12's latest episode featured a conversation between Toni and Ben. The two had some issues with their connection not working out. They were quite vocal about giving each other the "ick."

One of the conversations between Toni and Ben took place while walking on the lawn. When Toni mentioned she didn't want to know how he felt about her from other people. She was referring to other Islanders, from whom she learned that she was giving him the "ick." She told him that he could tell her how he felt.

Listening to Toni, Ben responded that she was giving him the ick. In response, she also felt the same, so she replied:

"You're giving me the ick."

The latest episode of Love Island UK featured an unexpected turn of events between two Islanders. After Ben talked to Shakira and told her that he felt "ick" from Toni, Shakira had a conversation with Toni about the same. She mentioned how Ben wasn't feeling the spark and getting an "ick" from her.

After learning of Ben's feelings, Toni went to him and confronted him about it. She told him that he could open up to her about how he felt:

"Yeah, I just don't think we have any chemistry. You came in strong and I respected it, but after a few chats, I just don't feel it," said Ben.

Love Island UK star Toni asked him, if that was the case, why he didn't tell her that, and opened up to other Islanders. Ben responded that he didn't want to be "harsh" and that he thought it was "obvious."

Sharing her side, Toni responded that she was there to explore new connections and get to know people. So after choosing him, she should have gotten the chance and a "fair shot" from Ben:

"You could've at least given me a fair shot instead of making your mind up after one comment," she said.

However, Ben said that it was not "just one comment," but the vibe was off. He mentioned getting the "ick" and that he couldn't pretend. When he said she gave him the "ick," Toni said she also felt the "ick" from him.

Love Island UK star Ben asked the reason behind the "ick":

"I think you've been overreacting to things that I've said," she replied.

Ben disagreed with her and said he didn't know what to say. He said he was waiting for "that connection." He added that he didn't feel the "spark" between him and her.
