Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta Season 13 premiered on July 8, 2025. The first episode of the reality show featured returning cast members, including Scrappy, Rasheeda, Kirk Frost, Karlie Redd, Yandy, Mendeecees, and Spice. The first episode of Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta Season 13 featured an argument between two cast members. Fans know how Scrappy and Shakira share a child from the show's previous season.
As featured in the first episode of Season 13, Scrappy confessed to the cameras how his life has been lately:
"Things are going better than ever. You know what I'm saying? I hate when I say better than ever. Better than ever. I'm happy. I'm healthy. And my love life is going amazing. But listen. I ain't married to Britney. And then sometimes, thing get a little complicated because of the situation."
Viewers must know his current relationship with Britney as a girlfriend, while he shares a son with Shakira.
He went to Shakira and asked her how she was doing. Her reply was not something that he had expected. She responded that she was "good," but she could do "better."
Listening to her, Scrappyy told her she should do better.
"I mean, you got your baby, your oldest baby, and you're living your life," said Scrappy.
Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta star Shakira asked him what he meant by that. He said his meaning was to "take care" of her babies. She repeated what he was saying to ensure that he was saying it.
Scrappy then told her that she should try to feed their baby "other things." It was because he wanted to spend more time with their son. So, if she were only to feed him, he couldn't get him for more time. He said that their son only knew Shakira, and not him.
When he said he was a "great" dad, Shakira said he was an "okay" dad. The difference of opinion sparked an argument between the two. Soon, they got in a heated argument and started recalling how things had been between them.
While Shakira told him about his relationship with Britney and how he told her mother that Shakira was "crazy," he left. However, even after Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta star Scrappy left, Shakira was still yelling.
