One America News is officially coming back to the big stage, and this time it's through YouTube TV. The streaming giant just signed a fresh carriage deal to bring One America News and its sister channel, A Wealth of Entertainment (AWE), into its base lineup, per Deadline.

While Fox and YouTube are still locked in a negotiation that could pull Fox channels from the platform, this move makes sure that viewers have plenty of new options.

A major return for One America News and its sister channel

For years, One America News struggled to stay on television screens after losing several key distributors. Its comeback through YouTube TV feels like a dramatic second act. The network, which currently runs 16 hours of live news each weekday, is pairing with AWE - a channel with content on travel, luxury living, cars, and adventure - to offer a bundle that balances hard news and lighter entertainment.

The expansion didn't happen overnight. Back in 2022, OAN lost its biggest partner, DirecTV, amid legal battles over coverage of the 2020 election. Verizon followed soon after, and suddenly OAN found itself nearly invisible on traditional cable.

Parent company Herring Networks fought through multiple lawsuits and settlements in the years that followed, eventually clearing a path for its channels to strike new partnerships.

With YouTube TV securing more than nine million subscribers across the country, the stage looks set for OAN to regain the national audience it lost. According to Variety, Richard Levine, president of distribution for OAN and AWE, said in a statement:

"This partnership makes it easier than ever for viewers nationwide to connect with our networks—from in-depth news reporting to inspiring entertainment."

YouTube TV plays the timing card with Fox talks still hanging

The timing of One America News joining YouTube TV could not be more striking. At the same moment, YouTube is locked in negotiations with Fox over a new carriage deal.

If talks collapse, major Fox channels including Fox News, Fox Sports, and Fox Business could disappear from the service. By adding OAN and AWE, YouTube TV aims to ensures that subscribers have alternatives ready.

Justin Connolly, YouTube's global head of media, explained the decision, saying:

"Our goal has always been to provide our subscribers with a wide range of content, which is why we re excited to bring One America News to YouTube TV. This partnership gives One America News access to our growing audience, while also giving our subscribers even more choice when it comes to news and entertainment."

Even FCC chair Brendan Carr took notice of the Fox dispute, posting on X that Google should "get a deal done." Although the FCC has no role in pay-TV fights, the comment highlights how closely watched these negotiations are.

For now, both companies have agreed to short-term extensions to keep the channels running while talks continue.

By tying OAN into its lineup, YouTube TV has sent a signal: It is ready to keep audiences satisfied, even if Fox's lineup goes dark.

For OAN, this partnership isn't just another deal. It is a lifeline back to mainstream visibility.

One America News rejoining the pay-TV map through YouTube TV marks a major turning point after years of setbacks. By pairing the network with AWE and placing them in its base package, YouTube TV has doubled down on variety just as Fox negotiations loom large. For subscribers, this means more choices.
