On Beyond the Gates, the streets of Fairmont Crest are paved with secrets, and apparently, covered in the ash of fiery car crashes. With Doug McBride (ex Jason Graham) officially out of the picture (RIP, you gambling disaster), the romantic landscape has shifted from messy to straight-up dangerous.
Beyond the Gates: The Couples

It is time to look at the survivors. Here are the three couples that need to fight for their happy ending, and three that are doomed by toxicity, stupidity, or, in one case, a Detective/hitman named Marcel.
The "Make It Work" List

Dani Dupree and Andre Richardson: I will eat crow on this one. The family has treated Andre like a midlife crisis accessory and Dani like a loose cannon, but they are actually the most solid pairing in the house. Andre sees the woman, not the "wild child," and Dani defends him when the Duprees get snobby. Their "Us Against the World" energy is palpable. Forget the Vegas stigma; these two are the real deal.

Naomi and Jacob Hawthorne: They are the last tether to reality. While everyone else is poisoning husbands or faking paralysis, Naomi and Jacob are dealing with real marriage struggles. They are the heartbeat of the show. If they let the toxic air of the gated community break them, we lose the only characters we can actually root for without feeling dirty.

Vernon and Anita Dupree: They are the pillars. The standard. In a show where morality is a suggestion, we need the Patriarch and Matriarch to survive the storms. Vernon and Anita provide the stability that balances out their chaotic children. They need to stay together forever, if only to remind everyone else what a non-criminal relationship looks like.
The "Please Quit (Or Run Away)" List

Vanessa McBride and Joey Armstrong: This isn't a romance; it’s a crime thriller. Vanessa is grieving her husband, completely unaware that the shoulder she is crying on belongs to the man who ordered his death. Joey having Marcel stage that fiery car crash so he could have Vanessa "all to himself" is Joe Goldberg-level creepy. Vanessa needs to run—not walk—to the police station, not into Joey’s arms.

Bill Hamilton and Hayley Hamilton/Lawson: It’s hard to root for a couple when one half is Googling poisons and the other is Bill Hamilton. Hayley’s "long con" to murder Bill for his money makes them the most dangerous pairing on TV. Bill is too much of a narcissist to see the knife coming. This needs to end in a divorce court, but it’s probably going to end in the ICU.

Ashley Morgan and Derek Baldwin: They finally did it. They broke up. Now, for the love of everything holy, let’s make sure it stays that way. This relationship turned Derek into a spineless doormat who faked medical conditions to keep a woman, and exposed Ashley as someone who treats commitment like a suggestion. Watching them was exhausting. If the writers try to "reunite" them for a redemption arc, we riot. Stay single, get therapy, and lose each other's numbers.
The Verdict: The stakes in Fairmont Crest have risen from "cheating scandal" to "first-degree murder." If Dani and Andre can survive the family pressure, they win. But if Vanessa finds out what Joey did? Fairmont Crest is going to burn down for real.
