Beyond the Gates' Andre Richardson is in the danger zone

On Beyond the Gates, Andre doesn’t realize the threat that Bill Hamilton represents. All that this young lad can see is his heart eyes for Miss Dani Dupree, and it’s going to get him in trouble.

Surely Andre (Sean Freeman) has heard the fearsome reputation of Bill “The Fixer” Hamilton? (Timon Kyle Durett) Well, apparently not, as this week he’s going to go toe to toe with the big man, and I meant that both figuratively and literally (Durett stands 1.95m tall). After a drunken night ended with Dani (Karla Mosley) and Andre taking a private jet to Las Vegas, not only did they gamble with money and love, but Andre is now gambling big time with his very existence.

As soon as the social media platforms released the images of an Anita impersonator overseeing the ceremony and pronouncing them man and wife, Bill was all over it, searching for the marriage certificate and seeing if there were any grounds or loopholes, etc, that he could use to suggest to Dani that she annul this farce of a marriage. Why would Bill want to do that? Just being helpful? Not at all, he is more than ever still holding a torch for Dani, especially after the pair got close during Chelsea's (RhonniRose Mantilla) kidnapping storyline. Knowing that the “Boy Wonder” is all over his ex-wife is too much for Bill, and after their latest kiss, he can’t get Dani off his mind even when he’s supposed to be making love to Hayley (Marquita Goings). So what’s a man to do? Spoilers for this week reveal that Bill and Andre have an uneasy standoff in Orphey Genes, and Andre has some harsh truths to share with Bill, which land poorly. Andre is correct; we can’t fault him there, nor for standing up for his relationship with Dani and his right to choose whoever he wants.

But this is Bill Hamilton. And Bill doesn’t lose, often or at all, and this week we are going to see Bill on the phone to an unknown person, clearly stating, “Getting rid of Richardson from my ex-wife's life and her bed is top priority.” Now, when Bill is getting a problem sorted, it’s not his wife he talks to, nor is it one of the Duprees, which leaves Joey.

Is that what we are really going to see? Is Joey coming in to sort Bill's problem as a favor returned for Bill coming to Joey with Doug’s intentions? On the back of losing Doug McBride, it feels like a stretch to say we could lose Andre too, but what a twist that would be - and how very Game of Thrones that would feel.
