Welcome to the Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on Beyond the Gates

Haven’t we heard enough about what a Dupree woman is or isn’t and how to handle them? Today, we got the pleasure of not one but two lectures on how the Dupree women are a handful, or is that just a polite term for the fact that they are the way they are, because people let them be that way. They are brought up a certain way, and then expect the men in their lives to treat them like royalty and be treated like they should be grateful for the opportunity to serve them. Point out one Dupree man or partner of a Dupree Woman that isn’t, I’ll wait. Today, Jacob told Tomas, “It’s just the way they are, not much you can do about it.” Then we also had Ted telling Andre about the Duprees and the hierarchy, etc., etc. Still, I’ll give Ted his props for not feeding into it too much and telling Andre to put Bill back in his lane. I mean, good luck with that and all, seeing as Bill holding Andre would look like Shaq holding Kevin Hart.

Can we get the men to play a more active role than just being their partners' lapdogs? It’s verging on just being plain disrespectful at this point.
