Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P for Friday, December 12th:

Welcome to the Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on Beyond the Gates

Kat told Tomas she was high-maintenance and that if they moved in together, he might not like who she really is. This was a solid truth bomb from Kat. Now, there was a time when I really wanted Kat and Tomas to make it work, and there was a time when I really wanted Tomas and Eva to work. But this is all just far too messy. Tomas needs to move on from Kat; there is a list of issues there longer than the line-up for the Kirkland Holiday Cookie Tray at Costco. Just the fact that he turned up unannounced at her place, and Kat said, “What are you doing here?” and Tomas replied that he knew he had come around uninvited…what the heck, he can’t just turn up to surprise his gf or drop around because that would be a bad thing?

That on its own spoke volumes. Please let this holiday season be the wind-up for Tomas and Kat; let it burn bright and fierce like the gas burn-off at an oil refinery, then burn out. My New Year's wish for BTG is that Tomas becomes like a mini Bill, embraces a ruthless streak as he seeks a partnership at the firm, and becomes a family man from a new source. Please and thank you.
