Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P for Monday, December 22nd:

Welcome to the Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on Beyond the Gates

Today’s show hit like a hammer. Anita got the terrifying news that not only did she have cancer, but it was triple-negative cancer, the worst of them all. Again, the scene where the Doctor gave Anita the news was heart-wrenching to watch. Seeing this strong, proud lady getting broken down and showing her vulnerability certainly tugged on the heartstrings here at home. The way they explained the results and educated us at the same time is what makes Beyond the Gates stand out. All of this was delivered without it feeling like the show was just using it as a platform; we all feel for Anita right now.

But I need to end this on a positive note, so I’m going to talk about Jacob's Mexican monkey hat lol. The Changuito. That thing was an eyesore, but heck, wasn’t that a hoot seeing Naomi blast Chelsea with it? Especially after the scene where we had to watch Naomi berate Jacob for his choice of gift. As it turned out this monkey hat was indicative of a mexican holiday that JAcob had purchased, I mean shipping his wife off to Mexico so he can have some guy time isn’t the worst idea. Bro code, I got you, Jacob LOL
