Welcome to the Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on Beyond the Gates

If the writers of BTG want us to think that something is going on with Senator Vernon Dupree and Articulette Sharon Winger, then they are doing a fantastic job. All the secret rendezvous they have had, the phone calls, and now we see them being as shifty as hell at the Winterfest Gala. Damn, that woman has got it bad for Vernon, right ?! It certainly looks that way. The scene where Sharon was at the Dupree mansion picking up the photo of Vernon and Anita and gazing at it, oh, a penny for her thoughts right then.

It just can’t be the direction the show is going, can it? Vernon stepping out on his wife? After all the speeches we have heard from both of them, surely he wouldn’t want to be like all the other men that the Dupree women have been married to. As Anita told Dani and Nicole, they married people who weren’t necessarily good men but were great fathers. If that’s the case, Mr Dupree, what have you done in your storied past? With Winterfest here and the end of the year near, the truth of what’s happening is bound to come out. We’ll just have to be a bit patient for a bit longer.
