Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P for Tuesday, January 6th: Jessica has a stanky attitude, and Tyrell doesn’t like it

Welcome to the Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on Beyond the Gates

Today on BTG, we saw Tyrell and Jessica at Orphey Genes, just a few tables away from Izaiah and Eva, who were very much loved-up on each other. The situation couldn't have been further from that at Tyrell's table. Jessica was going on about how the cotillion was just a way of gatekeeping the haves from the have-nots. She also hit a sour note when Tyrell said that Anita had been teaching Samantha a thing or two in preparation for the cotillion, but had to stop now that she had a breast cancer diagnosis. Jessica went full disrespect when she said that it could be looked at as a blessing and maybe something good to come out of her diagnosis. A slight paraphrasing, but damn, Jessica, have you lost your dang mind?

Tyrell immediately told her that she could benefit from a few etiquette classes herself. Tyrell you need to get yourself away from this nasty girl, I think you just got a glimpse of who she really is and that attitude is just the beginning. I’ll be honest, I’ve never really liked Jessica for Tyrell. I think the right girl is just a month or two away and will be found once Tyrell chooses the college that best suits him, not the one that best suits Jessica or where she is going. People in your life are a blessin’ or a lesson. And Tyrell, you just got schooled.
