Beyond the Gates Daily YAPP Recap, June 5: Leslie is the human bad penny

Welcome to the Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on Beyond the Gates

How does Leslie always show up where she’s not wanted at the worst possible time? She’s like a human version of a bad penny. It makes me wonder if she doesn't have a tracking device on Ted, like an Apple AirTag. Ted had finished having a nice catch-up with Eva, and a real one, with real talk and real feelings. Eva is not ready to rat her mom out by any stretch of the imagination, but it was a nice convo. As soon as they were done, who should walk in? Nicole. Glaring at Ted as she was forced to walk past Eva, Nicole did her best ice queen impersonation. Soon, Ted's affable smile and warmth started to thaw her out, and Nicole was forced to stifle her smile. Nicole told Ted that they weren't talking, and Ted said Yet here they were LOL. Ted told Nicole he would keep talking until Nicole told him to shut up, which she didn't. But that smile faded quickly once Leslie happened to walk in. How did she manage to get to Ted's location? That was the first time Nicole had spoken to Ted since the hospital meet up, and it was going well until Queen of Disaster, Leslie, walked in and dismissed Nicole with a “bye nikky” and a coy wave of her hand. It’s a love-to-hate thing with Leslie for me, and I hope Jacob has the opportunity to tase her, just for me.
