Welcome to the Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What Happened on Beyond the Gates

Kat had a big day today, and tbh was probably my fave episode featuring her thus far. Yes, I said what I said, and before the haters get in on me, I like Kat, and I have just been waiting for a day like today to really like her. Kat went to see her dad, and by dad, I mean new dad, the new Ted Richardson as played by Keith D. Robinson. And instead of just being sassy and going on the attack, Kat listened, actually listened to Ted. He said things she didn't want to hear, granted, but she understood on some level a little more of what happened back then. The best part of that exchange was when Ted said that all that happened before Kat was even born, that the father she grew up with, the love she saw, the husband he was to Nicole that she saw, was ALL REAL. Now, Kat believes that it was Leslie who played Ted back then and was behind Laura getting run off the road, as it was no coincidence that Eva fell into that role.

The chance to get some truth on that came when Kat went to see Ted in his hotel room. Ted wasn't there, but Leslie, or whatever name she’s using, knocked on the door and swept in. Kat, being quick of mind, set her phone to audio record and caught Leslie saying way too much about Laura and the detail she described the incident in, look out Leslie, Kit Kat Brat is coming for you. Oh, and done more things, I like the new Ted, he played the role well today, it’s just going to take a little time to get used to not having a Terry Crews type of Ted anymore, yes, I’m gonna miss Maurice Johnson. You made a heck of an intro, though, Mr Robinson.
