Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P for Tuesday, November 11th: Kit Kat Brat is under attack

Welcome to the Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on Beyond the Gates

Lord have mercy, when Leslie referred to Kat as Kit Kat Brat, she wasn’t far wrong, was she? We saw the little princess inside Kat rear its ugly head again in a big way. I get that she hates Eva for all the damage she wrecked and for all the part she played in it with her mom. But… she is Ted’s daughter. Not a half-daughter, a byproduct of a mistake, she is his daughter, and Ted is making up for all the lost time he can and being a good man. Kat is getting all indignant about it. I get her being upset that things have happened, but they have happened, and it’s time to move on past that. Kat is the only one who has a problem with Eva. No one else begrudges Eva for calling Ted her father or ‘Dad’ —only Kat. Today, Eva, Chelsea, and Tomas all told her that, but instead of listening to hear another point of view from people she trusts and respects (Tomas and Chelsea), she dug her heels in. Her words were comical and of a much younger girl than Kat is supposed to be. What is she like, 21 going on 12? It was nice to see Kat getting called out for being a princess and being obstinate.
