Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P for Thursday, November 13th: Derek and Sheryl make the sparks fly!
Welcome to the Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What Happened on Beyond the Gates
Well, we got Ashley trying to take ownership for her part in the breakup with Derek, and Shanice and Naomi doing their best to subvert that and have Ashley take the same crooked overwatch position from the high ground, moral or not. But then Derek was joined at the apartment he lived in with Ashley, and two of his work colleagues had arrived to help him collect the last boxes and herbert his favorite chair. Liam and Sheryl.
The spoilers were not wrong; flames did ignite, and most certainly in a good way. Sheryl slyly got rid of Liam and made an excuse to hang around a little longer, just to make sure Derek didn't miss anything, like…her lips. The chemistry between these two was apparent from the moment they shared the first couple of moments in their first scene. Even though Sheryl left with Derek, saying he still loved Ashley, it was taken to suggest this is not the last time we will see Sheryl, and I, for one, hope that Ashley doesn’t see Derek with Sheryl and find a way to worm her way back in and flip-flop one more time. Give Ashley a new love interest and leave Derek alone to pursue happiness.
