Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P for Monday, November 24th: Nicole tells Kat that she should have Thanksgiving with Ted and Eva
Welcome to the Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What Happened on Beyond the Gates
Welcome to Oppositesville. Today, Nicole was the voice of reason and got the look from everyone else. Nicole was the one today telling Kat that she needed to get on board with Ted having a relationship with Eva and that Ted’s love for Eva didn’t diminish his love for her. But, as usual, Kat was on her solo voyage to miserable town and having a pity party to celebrate. She moaned and whinged that no one understands her. Well, they did, until she made the point of it being that she will never see Kat as an equal, and she has no right to call Ted ‘Dad’. It was at that moment that everyone she talked to suddenly changed course and saw how selfish she was being.
To be honest, it felt excellent to see Kat getting called out for it instead of having her princess ways enabled. Bravo to Nicole for being on that train today. I've said a lot about how I don't like the way Nicole does things. Today, I loved it. It’s making a great case already to be in the best of the week, which won't be hard, as we only get two new episodes this week, and we are one down already.
