Welcome to the Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on Beyond the Gates

Ok, let’s take a little break from Scammy and Mrs Scamilton. Today was a charming touch, a moment on the show I feel we have needed for a little while. No, I don't mean Naomi eating Bill's cupcake, nor Bill wearing his crown. I’m talking about Smitty, getting Martin out of the house to pick up Thai food, and Samantha so that Tyrell and Smitty could plot and scheme at home. The scheme was terrific, and when Martin arrived home with Samantha and saw the “Mr and Mr.” sign above the fireplace and all the candles, we knew what was coming. Yet, glued to our seats, we remained.

Martin had questions about Smitty and Tyrell appearing from the hallway with Smitty all dressed up in a suit, but before Martin could enquire as to what was going on, Smitty took him by the hand as he had a question of his own to ask. Smitty took a knee, looked up at a puzzled Martin, and asked if he would continue to make him the happiest man on earth by carrying him again. The camera cut away to Samantha and Tyrell grinning at each other. And that soap fans, was just the kind of happy moment I think we all needed today.
