Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P for Wednesday, October 22nd:
Welcome to the Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What Happened on Beyond the Gates

Today was a big day of realization for Nicole, and she had a lot to process and deal with. Starting with yet another run in with Leslie, who just happened to have Peaches in tow with her. The three ran into each other at the entrance to the Country Club, Nicole on her way out and Leslie on her way in. That in itself is a metaphor for how things must feel for Nicole on some level, too. She’s on her way out, and Leslie, even if she’s not, certainly thinks she’s on her way in. Leslie jibed her by saying that she mustn’t be calling herself Mrs. Richardson anymore and that it’s a good thing, as then they won’t confuse the two of them. Really, Leslie? You’re going to be the next Mrs Richardson? Maybe you need Nicole on a professional level.

Nicole then went around to see her mom and dad and give Anita a long overdue apology before telling her parents that she’s ok and has a lot more clarity right now afte the divorce. But a mother knows her daughter best, and she could see that Nicole was anything but ok, but that she would be if given the space to be. That space includes Carlton, as it didn’t take long before she messaged him saying that she needed to see a friend. In their embrace at her booth at Uptown, we all got to see that Nicole, despite her bravado, was not ok.
