Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P for Friday, October 24th: Naomi goes too far

Welcome to the Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on Beyond the Gates

Well, that was awkward, wasn’t it? The awesome foursome got together at Uptown for the first time in a while. Life had been crazy for all of them. The problem was that Jacob and Naomi's conversation about work turned sour once Jacob mentioned the word “baby.” Ashley and Derek rolled into Uptown and joined Jacob and Naomi. Naomi was getting lit and appeared to be trying to float her liver. It didn't take long for her to make it clear that she and Joacob were not vibing. Derek tuned out and was in his head about his legs when Jacob asked him if he was all good, and Naomi snarked,” Here he goes again, trying to steal the conversation, can’t I get any girl talk in with my friend?” Wow. But it wasn’t over by a long shot. Ashley and Naomi had a talk at the bar about the pregnancy scare and how they both felt, then rejoined the boys.

Naomi was so not done being snarky and then dared to toast to more moments like this, without complications or life-changing decisions barreling at you like a freight train. Everyone looked shook at that, and Ashley said the important thing was that Derek and Ashley were committing to each other. Naomi then went too far by saying, "Yeah, that was true, and too bad if something comes up that's a deal-breaker, because you (pointing at her own wedding ring) are just stuck." If things were going to get rocky before, I’m sure Jacob feels embarrassed by her outbursts all night and will want to have a proper talk with her when they get home.
