Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P for Thursday, October 9th:

Welcome to the Beyond the Gates Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on Beyond the Gates

Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix) met with Smitty (Mike Manning) at the same time that Martin (Brandon Claybon) was having an ol chin wag with his Grandmother, Anita (Tamara Tunie). The subject? Martin is moving back into the Brownstone with Smitty and their children. Oh, happy day! With so many couples having been doing it rough of late, it’s nice to see the power of love at work. Tomas and Kat/Eva were and are a mess. Nicole and Ted look like their goose is cooked. Dani and Andre/Bill are a nuclear meltdown just waiting to happen. Derek and Ashley —don’t even get me started on that hellscape. But for once, Martin and Smitty look like they are on the yellow brick road back to happiness [insert skipping joyous happiness here]. Speaking of relationships, Shanice (Ernestine Johnson) needs something solid.

In contrast, the man in black, Randy Parker (Maurice P. Kerry), needs a good gal to anchor him in Fairmont Crest —something nicer than just keeping his friends close and enemies closer. How do you feel seeing Martin and Smitty looking like their happy old selves? Does it fill you with joy and have you singing “Best of my Love?” The Y.A.P.P is back!
