Here's what went down Friday, July 25, 2025 on Beyond the Gates when Dani worked the kitchen, the Richardson kids found out grandma wasn't giving any up, and Hayley got some marital advice from her former bestie.

On Beyond the Gates, Dani ran into Nicole at the country club, wondering how her sister was holding up, given all the revelations about Martin. Nicole gave Dani the latest about Leslie filing a complaint after Nicole had tried to strangle her. Dani couldn't get her head around Nicole assaulting someone. “Seems more like something I would do,” Dani allowed, laughing as she added, “Aren't we a great couple of role models for our kids?...I've never seen a face so suitable for slapping.” Nicole declared that Leslie had deserved to be attacked. The shrink that Dani classed as “demure” couldn't believe she could be so emotional and volatile; she had even given Bill a piece of her mind, she reported. Nicole told Dani she was meeting with Tyrell and Samantha there to give them some “normal time.”

Later, Nicole told Tyrell and Samantha that the revelations about the hate crime were as hard on Martin as it was on them and assured them that they were never out of Martin's thoughts, despite his not living at home. The teens appreciated hearing how much they were loved by the whole family, but when Samantha moved to bring something up with their grandmother, Tyrell tried to stop her. Samantha wanted Nicole to talk Smitty into letting Martin move back in.

Nicole pointed out that the kids' parents needed to work things out on their own, and that Martin needed to earn back Smitty's trust. Tyrell understood but wondered if he and Samantha had been informed about everything regarding Martin saving Vernon from racists, because detective Jacob kept popping up; the boy also sensed that Nicole was holding back. After Tyrell told Nicole how his fathers had spoken in private first before sitting him and his sister down, which was unusual, Nicole conceded how easy it would be to get lost in speculation. She encouraged her grandkids that the focus needed to be on Martin and Smitty getting back together. Samantha and Tyrell glanced at each other, not convinced.

At Bill's firm, Hayley found Tomás still waiting outside Bill's door at the end of a lengthy conference call. A stressed Bill emerged and sent Tomás on his way with a list of tasks, then barely let Hayley say a word before he took off.

Chelsea finished revising a design and excitedly went on to Kat about how close they were to their launch. Kat was distracted and testy; Chelsea asked about it and heard Kat's frustration about “him” always being “about” Eva; Chels thought the “him” was Ted, but Kat corrected that it was Tomás. Kat explained how she had found her boyfriend in Eva's hotel room, saying he was there to borrow a book, though she suspected, if she had gotten there minutes later, she would have found him in bed with Eva. Ms. Richardson decided that Eva, whom she was sure had manipulated the situation, needed to stop “throning” and find someone in her class.

Kat summoned Tomás, saying they needed to talk. When Tomás arrived, he made small talk with Chelsea, who told him to use his privacy wisely as she left. Kat felt that Tomás should have contacted her first; Tomás admitted he'd been trying to think of what to say that wouldn't make things worse. He promised that he hadn't slept with Eva, which Kat struggled to believe. Kat didn't like hearing Tomás' contention that Eva hadn't been treated fairly by Kat's family and huffed that “that viper in ugly boots” had helped plot the destruction of her parents' marriage.

It bothered Kat that Tomás considered Eva a good person, and she wanted him to define what he meant when he said he liked Eva. Kat offered to release Tomás to her half-sister and suggested that a friendship with him wasn't impossible. Tomás was clear about Eva being a friend and about his romantic feelings for Kat, but he wanted to know what Kat felt for him. Kat was flummoxed over Tomás not knowing where they stood, since she had been ready to lose her virginity to him. His refusal to proceed had made her feel like she didn't matter. Tomás grappled with articulating that he didn't know if Kat was with him because she liked him or because she was trying to stick it to Eva.

Kat resented the insinuation that she was that shallow, but Tomás recalled how often he had tried to instigate conversations with her about their relationship, only to have Kat rail against Eva and Leslie. Tomás wanted Kat to look at things from his perspective; she owned that she had a hard time containing her anger toward Eva and confessed that she felt “intense and wonderful” with Tomás, a sensation she had never experienced before. Kat elaborated by saying she was crazy about Tomás, but added that she didn't want to be in a triangle with him and Eva.

Tomás acknowledged that he had felt something for Kat ever since first seeing her from across the room at Bill and Hayley's wedding. He decided he wanted to show his feelings wordlessly and kissed her. “If you want me, you can have me,” Kat heaved as she swore her sentiment had nothing to do with Eva. Tomás wasn't thinking about Eva, either, and clothes came off. Kat nodded her consent, but after the deed had been done, she looked as though she wished she hadn't gone through with it.

Naomi spent time at Orphey Gene's with a better-dressed June, who was happy she was out of the hospital with its flavorless food and germ-filled air. June was anxious to leave and surprised Naomi by offering to pay the check. Naomi remarked on the photo of the children tucked between June's cash; June wouldn't let the waitress see it, calling it “much too valuable.” June ended up handing the waitress play money, so Naomi insisted on paying the tip and slipped the staffer a credit card.

June thanked Naomi for being so good to her. Naomi asked to see the picture again and studied it; just as she started to ask about the phone number written on it, Hayley barged in, wanting to talk to Naomi. June excused herself to go do “her business,” and Hayley stunned Naomi by asking if she thought it was possible for Bill to kill someone. Naomi wasn't of the opinion that Bill would confide in his daughter over his wife, but Hayley noted Bill's tendency to protect her and Nicole storming in, calling him a murderer. Though Hayley had been ushered out of the room, she could still hear the former in-laws' raised voices.

Hayley felt that Bill was avoiding her so he wouldn't have to answer questions and begged Naomi to tell her what she knew. When Naomi said that the Hamiltons' lack of communication wasn't her problem, Hayley couldn't conceive how they used to be friends. Naomi agreed, and, as Hayley didn't want to believe that Bill could be involved in a murder, Naomi added that Hayley barely knew him. According to Naomi, Bill was so complicated that he had layers that weren't pretty. Hayley was advised to take her concerns to Bill herself, after which Naomi walked away.

Once Hayley was gone, Jacob met his wife at the diner, assuring Naomi that his latest news wasn't about Martin – he had gotten information about the phone number on June's photo: specifically, its corresponding address. Naomi wanted to head there to ask questions, but remembered how she had been continually hung up on. Jacob observed that June hadn't known about Naomi's follow-ups on the number, so there was no way that Naomi could disappoint June. Naomi realized the location was only an hour away and told the willing Jacob that he didn't need to accompany her...plus, while she was making the trip for June, she also desperately wanted to know who the children in the photo were.

Hayley went to see Bill, laying out for her husband how she had been concerned after Nicole had come to confront him; Bill didn't like that Hayley had approached Naomi for answers, though Hayley appreciated Naomi pushing her to talk to Bill directly. Mrs. Hamilton wanted to know whether Nicole had meant that Bill knew about a murder, or had been implying that he committed one.

Bill asserted a level of confidentiality where Nicole was concerned, but did disclose to Hayley that there had been a death two years earlier, which he had been brought in to handle. The lawyer mentioned Martin's press conference, and the alarmed Hayley intuited that Bill wasn't giving her the full story. Bill said it wasn't his story to tell, after which Hayley proclaimed she had heard enough; she loved Bill and trusted him. Bill maintained that there would be times he didn't share every detail of his job with her, but stressed that he didn't do murder – he didn't have to, because he could make things happen without lifting a finger. Besides, “the fixer” said, murder was “a fool's pastime.”

Pamela came to see Dani, asking about the “family emergency” which had halted Martin's presser. She didn't believe Dani's story about Martin just using political jargon, but Dani shut down any further inquisition on the subject, only saying that Martin and Smitty had hit a bump in their marriage. Dani knew what it was like to still love a husband after being disappointed by him, yet sensed that something else had brought Pamela over. Pamela described how she had put feelers out and learned that the modeling industry was, in fact, very interested in Dani taking to the runway again; she had two fashion houses ready to compete for Dani to be their spokesperson.

Dani was displeased that she hadn't been included in the conversations. Pamela showed Dani the several-digit figures that proved the interest in Dani, who couldn't understand why there was any excitement around her modeling again, since she had aged considerably since her last turn on the catwalk. Ms. Curtis elaborated that the fashions Dani was being asked to represent were for the sexy mature woman, but when Dani was still doubtful, Pamela became blunt and reminded Dani that she had shelved her modeling career not because she'd aged out of it, but because Bill had wanted her to. Dani heard Pamela's adamance about putting herself first but wasn't ready to commit one way or the other; Pamela brought Andre in as back-up...and to do a mini-shoot featuring Dani.

Andre set up his equipment and a backdrop in Dani's kitchen while Pamela got Dani into an appropriate ensemble. Pamela was aware of the silent vibes between Dani and Andre as he encouraged her to do whatever came naturally and let the camera capture it. Dani relented and got back into her groove as the shutter clicked. Afterwards, Andre and Pamela were wowed by the results, but Dani still needed to think about actually taking up the vocation again. Pamela departed hopeful, and Andre approached Dani with the idea of doing a private nude shoot to balance the kind of images she had once shot of him. Dani had lingerie under her robe and let Andre get a few snaps before moving on to straightforward seduction.
