On Beyond the Gates, Kat and Tomas’ botched romantic evening had the pair go their separate ways after Kat told Tomas he was bad in bed; Eva, however, proved that to be untrue.
Beyond the Gates: Out of the Kat house and into the doghouse

Tomas (Alex Alegria) and Kat (Colby Muhammed) have had a complicated relationship, and it’s been made even more difficult when Tomas befriended Eva (Ambyr Michelle) against the wishes of Kat, who hated her for so many reasons. Eva and Tomas have real chemistry, and sparks fly. Yet, when Tomas and Kat are together, they have fun and enjoy each other's company, but there is no magic. Every time the couple gets heated up together and things look promising, the two get each other in bed, and that's when the fireworks are doused with the reality that they just don't have chemistry together in that way.

Instead of some solid communication and problem-solving, it’s Kat’s understanding that it’s Tomas's problem and that he is just bad in bed. Even the second time they ended up between the sheets had the same result, except this time, Kat just came out and fractured his ego, telling him he was bad in bed, and that’s why she looked the way she did after doing the deed. Well, that comment landed like a lead balloon as expected, and that was the end of the night right there. Tomas got dressed, and as he was about to leave, Kat redundantly said she was going to call a car to pick her up, and Tomas just offered,” Sure, suit yourself.”

That was the funniest part of that whole encounter, and I had to guffaw as he said that on his way out. And that brings us to the present day, where Tomas was helping Eva move into her new place, also known as her mother's old apartment, while Kat and her cousin were launching their handbag line as a home shopping experience. Tomas had sent several messages and made calls to Kat since their last encounter, and Kat had been ghosting him, so it came as no surprise to see Tomas welcome the smiles and easy conversation with Eva again.

One thing led to another, and Tomas and Kat were taking the Flirt Town off-ramp to Make-Out-Ville. Eva asked Tomas what was going on with him and Kat, to which Tomas replied that there was no him and Kat, and that she had been ghosting him since they last saw each other. The pair began to kiss again and decided that they were going to take things further, on the couch. At this exact moment, Chelsea advised Kat to go around to see Eva and make things right, take one of their designer handbags as a gesture of goodwill, and put the past behind them. Kat eventually agreed, and knowing that Eva was living in Leslie's (Trisha Mann-Grant) old apartment, she went straight around.
Just stay in the bathroom, Tomas

Kat knocked on the door as Eva was putting the room back together and fixing the sheets she had taken off the bed and used on the couch with Tomas. He was in the shower, basking in the afterglow, and smiling as Eva had said she gave him a five-star rating for his bedroom gymnastics, including style points for his dismount. Kat offered the handbag as a peace offering and went into a speech about how they could become sisters, not just half-sisters, a real family. Eva tried her best to give Kat the hint that she needed to leave, but Kat went on and on before finally making her way to the door and turning for one last spiel. Kat told Eva that they could become close and be sisters who shared things… just as Tomas came out of the bathroom wearing nothing but a towel and a grin, even sandpaper couldn't remove.

The look on Kat’s face said it all; her man was gone, and he had left to sleep with the enemy. Some will say that it’s Kat's fault he was there, and some will argue that Tomas did Kat dirty. I say, that was a classic soap moment, and I’m here for the drama that’s coming. Who do you say is at fault here? And whose team are you on? Leave your thoughts in the comments below.
