On Beyond the Gates, Leslie is in full self-preservation mode. She let enough slip that Kat would believe the real culprit behind Laura's hospitalisation was her daughter Eva, but Kat is not buying it.
Leslie only cares about Leslie on Beyond the Gates

A mother is supposed to be there for their children in their time of need. But what happens when a mother feels betrayed by her daughter at her time of need? This is exactly the situation we have with Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) and her daughter Eva (Ambyr Michelle). It all went wrong in the lead-up to and on the night of Ted (then Maurice Johnson) and Nicole's (Daphnée Duplaix) anniversary party. Eva made the decision to warn Ted and Nicoloe about Leslie, but the warning was too late; that was the side she chose, as her mother sees it. Now Leslie has made it very clear, on several occasions that she wants notjing to do with Eva, when it appeared that leslie wanted to talk on Eva’s birthday, it was actually only just Leslie wanting Eva to talk to Ted on her behalf to get Bill (Timon Kyle Durett) to stop hounding her with cease and desist papers.
Sins of the mother

If you needed any further proof that Leslie was only out for herself, you only need to watch the scene where Leslie went around to Ted's (Keth D. Robinson) hotel room only to find his daughter Kat there, which turned into a Holmes vs Moriarty type of encounter. Kat secretly recorded their conversation, and Leslie alluded to the fact that it was Eva who ran Nicole's assistant off the road on her motorbike. That's pretty low rent, even for Leslie. But the seeds were sown, or so thought Leslie. Kat is a sharp one, and asked great questions, and it was almost like Leslie's ego wouldn't let her not spill some rather precise details of the incident that left Laura (Destinly Love) hospitalized. Kat took that recording to the one person who might give it a chance, Detective Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges). Between that and the recording, something must have sounded or looked good, for it wasn't much long after that Jacob came a knocking on Leslie's door telling her that he required her at the station to answer some questions. Kat needs to get some concrete proof before Leslie slips the net, and where will she turn her eye? Of course, Leslie will need to take care of Kat to remain ahead of the game. What do you think Leslie's next move will be? Lay your theories out below in the comments.
