Here's what went down Tuesday, April 22, 2025 on Beyond the Gates when Andre struck a pose, Bill gave Tomás a mission impossible, and “Sherry” paid a visit to Nicole.
What happened on Beyond the Gates

On Beyond the Gates, Nicole found Ted at the country club, and the marrieds got flirty. Nicole was there to talk to the event planners about the anniversary party; Ted wanted to spend that day with Nicole alone. Nicole decided she liked “this anniversary version” of her husband.
Leslie surprised Eva with a gown for the Richardsons' wingding, beaming that “they” had to dress for success. Eve knew the dress ran into four digits and was surprised that her mom was using her extortion fee from Ted to buy clothes. Leslie grinned that more money would come after Eva's “coming out” party, once Eva revealed herself to the Duprees and Ted's friends. Eva fretted that the dress would indicate she only wanted money; Leslie got tired of Eva's pushback and instructed her to get on the right path – “my path.”
Eva hesitantly replied “yes” when Leslie asked if Eva even still wanted to go through with the plan. Leslie wanted Eva to be her “masterpiece” and not look like something Ted had thrown away. Meanwhile, Leslie intended to look hotter than “nasty Nicole.” Eva got out of trying on the dress when she had to leave to meet the party planners; Leslie dictated that Eva keep working for that family...“until they find out who you really are.” Though Eva was ready to leave, Leslie pressured her into retrieving accessories she had left in her car. Alone, Leslie checked Eva's phone and saw that Eva was meeting Nicole, not the organizers.
After Ted joined Eva and Nicole, and Nicole exited to look into wines, Ted asked Eva if she could keep a secret: he was having a special piece of jewelry made for his wife and he needed Eva to receive the call when it was ready so he wouldn't have to cover in front of Nicole. Ted gushed that there weren't many people he trusted outside of his family these days, but Eva had been a blessing. Eva responded that the compliment meant more than Ted knew. As Ted and Eva went in search of Nicole, Leslie, dressed as “Sherry,” entered the club.
Once Eva and the Richardsons reconvened, Nicole sent Eva on an errand for sticky notes so she could announce to Ted that she wanted Eva sitting at their table during the party. Ted knew Kat would flip out, but Nicole insisted because the gala had been Eva's idea. Out in the lobby, Eva caught sight of “Sherry” and immediately pulled her away. Leslie grinned that she was applying to be a bartender at the anniversary party; Eva reminded her mother that she had already been fired from Nicole's tribute gala. Leslie snickered that the banquet manager who had sacked her had been sacked himself...for mysterious reasons.
Leslie purred that the job was a smokescreen — once she was past the gates, she'd don her own fancy gown and expose Ted. Eva warned that Ted and Nicole could walk in and catch Leslie at any moment; Leslie snapped that perhaps that was what Eva wanted, since Eva had lied about meeting with Nicole. Leslie taunted Eva by pretending to be ready to out herself, but she finally departed as Eva had demanded. Ms. Thomas was barely out the door when the Richardsons came looking for Eva, saying Eva looked like she had just seen a ghost.
Noticing that Nicole and Ted were ready to leave, Eva worked to stall them until Ted escorted Eva out to go over additional party details. “Sherry” re-entered, and Nicole was astonished to see her. When Nicole inquired about the problem “Sherry” had during her awards ceremony, “Sherry” stated that there was something Nicole needed to know.
Kat brought Tomás coffee at the law firm and showed him her video of Dani and Naomi singing backup for Anita the previous evening. Bill and Hayley entered; Kat gleefully indicated to Hayley that Dani was having the time of her life in the clip. Kat further bragged that Dani was in her comeback era. After Hayley returned to work, Kat declared that Naomi's HR case had been a victory for all three of Mike's victims and put Tomás on the spot regarding his feelings about it. Tomás gave a diplomatic answer, but Bill still wanted to see Tomás in his office; Kat hoped she hadn't gotten Tomás in trouble. They set a lunch date, and Tomás eyed Kat as she left.
In their meeting, Bill told Tomás that he reminded him of himself at his age and proclaimed Tomás partner material, which Tomás admitted he'd been working toward. Bill tasked Tomás with serving on the board to protect the rights of female employees that had been established as part of the settlement with the women Mike had harassed...so Tomás could report back to Bill about its movements. Seeing Tomás looked uncomfortable, Bill sighed that he'd approach another prospective partner; Tomás assumed Bill could just read over the minutes of the board's meetings, but Bill wanted more details because it was his name on the door. Hayley came in and overheard her husband pressuring Tomás.
Following Tomás accepting Bill's mission and leaving, Bill asked Hayley if there was any baby news. Mrs. Hamilton decreed it still too early to tell and expressed surprise at an e-mail Bill had sent her — he had already wanted to set up a college fund for their child, even though they didn't know for sure one was on the way. Hayley brought up Bill wanting Tomás to funnel information to him about the review board, calling it underhanded. She had supported Bill against Mike before, but now that she could be pregnant, Hayley was seeing things differently. There was a 50% chance they would have a girl, and she would want that girl to feel safe and respected in her place of employment.
Bill fumbled over his agreement and called the settlement dodging a bullet. Hayley took responsibility for Bill being too distracted by their affair and marriage to have known Mike was harassing the trio of women, but Bill placed himself at fault. He felt that potential parenthood was all the more reason he needed to protect what was his and promised he wasn't trying to cheat the women or deceive them. Later, Kat got together with Tomás at Uptown and was happy to hear that he was on track to be a partner, but he appeared worried.
Samantha was ready for Chelsea to put her to work, but Chelsea hesitated, assuring the teen she wasn't the problem. Chelsea assigned Samantha the role of “hype girl,” within which she would post the behind-the-scenes lead-up to the first purse release. But, Chelsea added, that part needed to wait until she had gotten her full team together, which she had been dragging her feet on. Kat entered and told Chelsea she needed to make a decision, suggesting she loop Samantha in for input. Despite Samantha and Kat agreeing that bringing Dani on would be “a total flex,” Chelsea wanted to finally have something that she didn't have to share with her mother.
Kat rolled her eyes for Chelsea to call her when she'd made up her mind and dished with Samantha about Tomás, but Chelsea erupted and said that the wrong choice would mean game over for the new company. “Good thing you're not dramatic,” Kat winked. Once Kat left for her lunch date with Tomás, Chelsea and Samantha agreed that just because they complained about their parents, it didn't mean those parents weren't loved. Samantha cited other examples of famous families and tried to convince Chelsea that “the nepo thing works.” Chelsea deemed the young Samantha wise; Samantha relayed how that, even when her dads were laying down rules for her and Tyrell, they remembered the lonely time when they'd had no family. Samantha and Chelsea concurred that they had each other.
Andre dropped in on Dani, wanting to see how she was doing. She proved that the drink she was nursing was just water, after which the two made out. Dani fed Andre berries and teased that he had accused a poor glass of water of alcoholism. Andre conceded he'd been out of line, though Dani thanked him for coming to her occasional rescue. She said she was following up on his “swift kick in the rear,” the administering of which Andre promised to keep to himself.
Responding to Andre's game of truth or dare, Dani divulged that she had always been in a partnership, whether it be with Bill or Chelsea. There had always been someone to team with. When Andre heard that Pamela wanted to start a modeling agency with Dani, he exclaimed, “Dani, that is you all day!” Dani confessed she hadn't yet decided on starting the business and turned things around on Andre by daring him to show her why he'd really come over. “It's about damn time,” he leered before moving in on her.
Dani used Andre's camera to take naughty pictures of him; he went with it, but said he felt like a piece of meat. Dani hungrily cooed that he was good enough to eat. She wondered if Andre knew how beautiful he was. “Look at me like you want me,” Dani beckoned, staging her next photo. “I don't know any other way to look at you,” Andre smoldered. Just as Andre was ready to advance past foreplay, Dani got a text from Chelsea, who was on her way over. The lovers discussed whether it was time for their families to know they were involved. Chelsea reached Dani's and told her mother about the idea to hire her on as ChelseaKat's marketing manager. Dani was moved by her daughter's employment gambit, but her answer was no.
At Uptown, Vernon grooved on the video of “Anita Williams” singing. Anita was reluctant to take a meeting Vernon had set up with Jim Price, a man she decreed a “charlatan” talent agent. Anita was cold to Jim when he arrived late, but Vernon finagled his wife into talking to Jim alone. Jim deemed Anita's performance as a secret ingredient he hadn't realized he was missing; though she tried to dismiss it as non-warmed-up karaoke, Jim persisted and offered to set up a comeback show with Anita as the headliner.
Anita balked at Jim trying to butter her up, but she relented and described her karaoke night as thrilling because she had been singing with her family. Jim suggested she bring Dani and Naomi on stage with her before doing a solo set, which is what people really wanted to hear. Her face betraying her, Anita measuredly said she'd think about Jim's proposal. Jim advised that sometimes, one just had to take a leap. Vernon saluted Jim as he walked out, but Anita didn't appreciate being maneuvered into the consultation.
Vernon knew that Anita wouldn't have even considered talking to Jim if he hadn't been crafty. When Anita labeled Jim's comeback talk nonsense, Vernon intuited that Anita Dupree missed Anita Williams, asking if it wouldn't be worth the former reconnecting with the latter. Anita again worried about her voice and how it would look, her trying to live up to her past. She confided to her husband that the prospect of taking the stage again was terrifying because she would have to be perfect, or she'd regret it. The former senator already found Anita's voice to be perfection, so Anita reiterated that she'd mull over Jim's proposition.
