Here is your Beyond the Gates weekly recap for the episodes that aired April 28-May 2, 2025.
What happened on Beyond the Gates

On Beyond the Gates, Vernon thought that Anita should do the suggested comeback concert – she conceded she would prefer to reunite with The Articulettes, but wasn't sure the other singers would talk to her after what she'd done around the time of their split. Chelsea asked Allison if they could explore things between themselves outside of their throuple situation.
When Martin admitted the frequency of his nightmares were increasing, Vernon suggested that Martin get professional help; Martin hated keeping the event that was the source of the bad dreams from Smitty. Derek moved in with Ashley, but the couple clashed over décor and housekeeping styles. Vanessa had a brief hospital stay for nausea, and Doug all but said he knew Vanessa was cheating on him; Vanessa wouldn't confirm. Dani and Andre again discussed the possibility of going public with their relationship.
Hayley figured out that Ted had been unfaithful to Nicole after Bill snarked that Ted was as bad as the rest of the Duprees. Ted arranged a pre-celebration for Nicole, where he reconfirmed his devotion to her and predicted that their upcoming anniversary party would be “epic.”
Leslie ambushed Martin and Vernon, gleefully pretending to be a crazy constituent. Eva was barely able to talk Leslie out of changing their plan to blackmailing the Duprees first and dropping their bomb on Nicole anyway. When Eva became adamant that they get Ted to take responsibility for fathering her in private rather than humiliating Ted in front of his family and friends, Leslie tired of her daughter's “conscience nonsense” and demanded that Eva do what she was told.
At the country club, Leslie got a key to a supply closet; the door would only lock from the outside, so Leslie had Eva bolt her in until the time came for their reveal. After seeing all the love among the guests for the Richardsons, Eva decided to stop Leslie but was nearly caught unlocking the closet by Kat, who got into the room, where Leslie was nowhere to be found. As the party began in earnest, Eva spotted Leslie and headed her off, only to be locked in the closet herself. Eva banged on the door until a Richardson family friend heard her and got her out.
Eva raced into the banquet room and begged the Richardsons to leave, but Leslie sauntered in, confusing those who knew her by different names. Nicole broke down when Leslie detailed how she had been Ted's lover and had gotten pregnant by him. Chelsea and Naomi were horrified to learn that Bill, representing Ted, had threatened to kidnap Leslie's baby and sell it on the black market if she gave birth instead of getting an abortion. After Leslie introduced Eva as Ted's daughter, Nicole ran out in tears.
Leslie abandoned Eva for exposing how she'd been threatening the Richardsons. Eva cried to Ted that she'd grown up thinking Ted had rejected her, never knowing that Ted had always believed that Leslie had terminated her pregnancy. Martin violently shoved Ted after realizing that the times Ted had taken Martin to a diner as a boy was so Ted could see Leslie, who was working there. Leslie fantasized about Nicole giving Ted over to her. Kat shunned Ted, and Bill received a text from Naomi, who wanted to know the truth about what Bill's part in the Ted/Leslie saga really was.
Nicole could only shake her head when Ted attempted to apologize to her. Eva sadly told Kat that she had been right about her all along. The Duprees convened to construct a damage control plan following the bomb dropped at the party, but they were interrupted by an arriving Leslie.
