On Beyond the Gates, Eva cheerfully brought Ted a latte, only to find Ted upset that Eva had let his clinic's accreditation lapse, which had caused it to be fined. After Ted went off on Eva, he dialed it back and apologized, but Eva recalled that Kat had advised her to ignore the accreditation renewal notice during her training. Eva didn't let on and offered for the fine to be taken out of her pay, while Ted wondered why Kat hadn't stressed the importance of getting the certificate renewed. Ted summoned Kat to the office and asked the seething Eva to run an errand while he spoke to his daughter.

Kat snarked that Ted's “illegitimate brat” was in a mood and maintained that she had, in fact, told Eva how vital keeping the accreditation current was. Eva listened outside as Kat said that Ted shouldn't have hired her. After Kat sighed that she'd have to stay involved in the clinic until such time that Eva learned to be responsible, if she ever did, Ted asked Kat if she was sure she had taught Eva how to schedule the inspection and suggested that Kat might have purposely misled her half-sister. Kat promised that she'd never do anything to harm Ted or his business; it was probably just that Eva wasn't smart enough to catch on to its procedures. Eva boiled at the door.

Ted told Kat that he had to leave for an appointment with Nicole. Kat took that to mean her parents were heading toward a reconciliation, but Ted reported that relations were still bad and that he was getting tired of being Nicole's “personal punching bag.” He hoped that he and his estranged wife could sort things out; Eva hid as Ted left his office, then confronted Kat, asking if she was proud of her sabotage.

Kat claimed that Eva had misunderstood when Kat had supposedly instructed her to ignore the certificate's renewal notice. Eva was certain that Kat had set her up to fail because she was jealous of having to share her father with her. Kat called Eva trash; while she conceded that Eva hadn't been the one to attack Laura, she was of the opinion that Eva had helped Leslie after the fact. After Kat dared Eva to admit to it, Eva countered that she was going to admit to Ted how Kat had undermined her. Kat didn't think Eva would say anything to Ted, because it would make her look like she was working to turn Ted against his “real” daughter.

Eva replied that she cared about Ted and didn't want to hurt him – unlike Kat, who had put her father's business at risk just to make Eva look bad. Kat fumed, “is that all you got?” when Eva called her a selfish little bitch; Eva was glad that Kat had alerted her to watch out for more of her stunts. “Maybe I'll take a lesson from my crazy-ass mama,” Eva said sweetly, “and pay you back the way you deserve.”

Leslie ambushed Hayley at Orphey Gene's and unloaded on her about being investigated by Jacob. Hayley made excuses to leave, but Leslie felt that they had being ostracized in common. Leslie knew that Hayley was considered persona non grata at Fairmont Crest and groused that the Dupree sisters had done a number on them. When Leslie asked how Hayley dealt with being treated like a pariah, Hayley breezily replied that she ignored the bad treatment because she had Bill.

After Hayley mentioned that she was pregnant, Leslie lit up, saying that Hayley had had “a shotgun wedding, in more ways than one!” Hayley corrected that the baby had come later and that Bill was thrilled, but Leslie warned Hayley, based on her own experience, that it wasn't wise for a woman to hang her hopes on a man. Leslie intuited that Hayley wanted to belong as much as Leslie did and pondered how they could help each other. Hayley seemed intrigued, but decided she didn't need Leslie's aid.

Leslie pressed on, remarking how delicious it was that she and Hayley had both done damage to the Duprees. Hayley insisted that she had thought of that family as her own and had never intended to hurt them; Leslie laid out that Hayley had gotten married at the Duprees' country club and moved into their gated community. Leslie deemed Hayley a wrecking ball and opined on what kind of damage Hayley could do if she actually put her mind to it. Hayley balked when Leslie said she looked up to her, telling her that she could teach a masterclass in homewrecking – Leslie admired Hayley's spunk. Mrs. Hamilton scooted off to her OB-GYN appointment, but not before telling Leslie how she was going to share all its details with her husband...something Leslie couldn't do. “Ouch,” Leslie smirked.

After Leslie snagged the tip Hayley had left and helped herself to toast from Hayley's unfinished breakfast, Nicole entered the diner. Leslie offered for Nicole to join her. Nicole declined at first, but then determined to catch Leslie up on recent events – such as Laura's return to work after her hospitalization. Leslie made like she didn't know Laura; Nicole piped up, “Maybe you've tried to murder so many people that Laura just slipped your mind.”

Seeing that Leslie was reacting, Nicole asked if Leslie wanted to confess to attempting to kill Laura twice. Leslie purred that running someone off the road wasn't necessarily considered a murder attempt in their jurisdiction because it was too hard to prove intent. When Nicole noted that Leslie would get less jail time if she pled guilty, Leslie said that she was confessing...to not understanding why Nicole was obsessed with her. Leslie figured that Nicole had to not be firing on all cylinders if she sincerely believed that Leslie would try to kill someone just to get her daughter a job.

When Nicole scowled that all the evidence pointed to Leslie, Leslie scoffed that she would have long been in jail had there been the proof that Nicole had alluded to. The psychiatrist reiterated that the police had Leslie's jacket, gloves, and helmet, but Leslie called all of that circumstantial. Nicole railed at Leslie for getting Laura out of the way so she could plant Eva in her house and get Ted's DNA; Leslie retorted that she already had a dress that was covered in it.

Nicole called Leslie disgusting; Leslie said Nicole was a prude and that it was no wonder Ted had stepped out on her. Leslie grinned that she and Ted had been “humping like bunny rabbits” while Nicole had been home injecting herself with drugs trying to get pregnant again after her many miscarriages. Nicole deduced that Leslie had gotten pregnant on purpose and either lied about taking birth control or poked a hole in a condom. Mrs. Richardson discerned that Leslie had been hoping Ted would leave her and their children; “if you have to trap him to keep him, he was never really yours in the first place,” Nicole imparted.

When Leslie guessed that Nicole thought only a Dupree was good enough to attract a man like Ted, Nicole answered that she wouldn't go that far, but... “if the slut fits...!” Leslie came back that she should have told Ted about her pregnancy, after which Ted would likely have “dumped your little bougie ass.” Ms. Thomas went a step further and proclaimed to Nicole that sex between her and Ted had been so hot, Ted was surely still thinking about it. Leslie was surprised that the self-absorbed Kat hadn't told Nicole about coming upon her and Ted getting hot and heavy in his hotel room.

Nicole thought she was all that, Leslie sneered, but she had turned her daughter into a brat, and Nicole was too stupid to pick up on Ted lying to her over and over. Nicole charged at Leslie, who screamed “that crazy heifer tried to kill me!” when Ted entered the diner and broke things up. After Ted seemed to take Leslie's side, Nicole declared that she and Ted had nothing to talk about after all and stormed out. Although Leslie played up having been choked by Nicole, Ted didn't believe Leslie's assertion that Nicole had attacked her for no reason – however, he did consent to taking the supposedly dizzy Leslie home.

At the nurses station, there was strain between Shanice and Ashley, who threw her tablet toward her supervisor. Shanice intimated that Ashley was punishing her for going out with Derek, which Ashley denied. Ashley remained sarcastic as Shanice explained that her dinner with Derek wasn't a date. Shanice went further, pointing out that Ashley and Derek were broken up and that Ashley had turned right around and spent time with Andre. Ashley wanted to change the subject, but Shanice resented Ashley having a chip on her shoulder.

When Ashley attributed her attitude to an attempt at professionalism, Shanice took her to task for her lack of it, prompting Ashley to yell, “Can you just shut up about it?” in regard to her personal life. Just as Ashley realized that she had popped off to her boss, Derek arrived, and Shanice put him through some quick physical therapy exercises, not leaving out some flirtation. Derek was receptive and Ashley frowned.

Hayley approached Ashley at the station, with Ashley loudly calling out, for Shanice's benefit, that it was unprofessional for her and Hayley to be on a first-name basis while Ashley was on duty. Ashley brushed past Hayley's recollections of how they used to hang out with Naomi – but when Hayley announced she was there for a follow-up even though her ultrasound had found her unborn child perfectly healthy, Ashley remembered being told Hayley hadn't actually undergone an ultrasound.

With Shanice helping Derek stretch in the background, Ashley listened as Hayley revealed that the cramping incident that had hospitalized her had been scary, and that Bill would be destroyed if anything happened to their baby. Called out for being distracted, Ashley made sure Derek could hear her recounting how she and Andre had delivered a baby in the elevator. Derek thanked Shanice for helping his back feel better and departed without saying anything to Ashley, who spat that therapist Shanice obviously enjoyed her work. Ashley stared at a picture of Andre as Hayley returned from her doctor visit, pronouncing that everything had gone well. Hayley promised to send Ashley an invitation to her baby shower.

Pamela felt discouraged because news of her new agency with Dani wasn't registering on social media. Dani suggested asking Chelsea to make them a video, which Pamela pooh-poohed because it would seem like they were moving to capitalize on Chelsea's success. Pamela decided they needed to do or have something that would make the modeling business as a whole stand up and take notice – and her idea was to have Dani work the runway herself. Dani resisted modeling again, but Pamela felt there was still enough interest in Dani that people would go crazy over her resuming her former career.

Dani felt that her time had passed, noting that they had considered such a return off the table when they were first inspired to open an agency. Pamela agreed that they had thought they could get their business off the ground simply by tapping into their connections, but she had realized that that wasn't enough in the current market – not to mention, the more mature model had started to find a place in the public eye. As Pamela continued to plead her case, Andre burst into Dani's house, demanding, “Dani, what the hell do you think you're doing?”

Pamela sensed the tension between the lovers and beat a hasty retreat so they could talk. Andre called Dani's behavior with him and Ashley embarrassing; Dani predicted that Ashley was too “wide-eyed” to have followed their oblique discussion about themselves. Andre informed Dani that Ashley knew exactly what was going on, and Dani said she had only been trying to communicate to Andre that “you can waste your time with girls...or you can let a woman rock your world.” Andre moved to kiss Dani; though she initially pulled back, the two were soon tearing each others' clothes off. Later, in the afterglow, Dani considered her claim staked.
