Here's what went down Monday, June 9, 2025 on Beyond the Gates when Kat did some planting that had nothing to do with gardens, Nicole let Eva off the hook, and Chelsea discovered Madison's identity.
What happened on Beyond the Gates

On Beyond the Gates, Derek ran into Andre at Orphey Gene's; Andre immediately started blubbering about how he'd thought Derek had broken up with Ashley, and how he had only been offering her support. But Derek wanted to talk about Leslie – he was looking for confirmation that Leslie had actually poisoned someone and run them off the road. Andre and Derek commiserated on both having been approached by Leslie, and they agreed that Leslie was dangerous.
Moving on to the police station, Derek asked Jacob for an update about Bill – but Jacob became very interested when Derek mentioned how Leslie had come around asking Ashley about the hospital and its security cameras. Jacob was surprised that Leslie had mentioned Kat specifically; it was Derek's feeling that Leslie was working on making it look like she was being persecuted by the Duprees. When Jacob said that Leslie was sounding desperate, Derek hoped that she had a reason to be, because it maddened him that Leslie was now accosting Ashley. Jacob hated having to wait until a prosecutor gave him clearance to file charges, but then Jacob got a tip on where to find Leslie and decided it was time for some more concentrated questioning. Derek jumped at the chance to be part of it.
Andre found Ashley at the hospital, where she announced that Bill was in with both of his wives. “Fun times,” Andre grinned. He changed the subject to Leslie; Ashley didn't think she had to be nice to Leslie just because she'd had a brief friendship with her mom. Andre warned Ashley that Leslie could easily sense Ashley's soft spot and that Leslie would probably be back to probe her for more information.
Nicole went to see Eva in her hotel room and demanded to know why Eva had seen Laura. Eva clarified that Laura had needed her help with the program she had installed on Nicole's computer while Laura was in the hospital, but Nicole worried that Eva was trying to use Laura to insinuate her way back into Nicole's life. Eva promised she had only wanted to help Laura, while Nicole was concerned that Eva was still in contact with Leslie, the type of woman who would never admit defeat. Eva countered that she was all that Leslie had, and that perhaps she could show Leslie a better example. If Nicole was attempting to test Eva's loyalty by making her choose between Leslie and Ted, Eva admitted, it was a test that she'd fail.
Though Nicole realized that she couldn't give Eva such an ultimatum, she did advise Eva to put her self-worth and safety above all else. “OK, Ted,” Eva smiled – which upset Nicole. Eva explained that Ted would have provided the same counsel and that, even though they were separated, the Richardsons were still very much in sync. Nicole listened as Eva voiced how much she hated what she and Leslie had done to Nicole's marriage; Eva revealed that Nicole and Ted reuniting was the only way she'd be able to forgive herself. Nicole accepted Eva's apology; Eva shuddered from relief.
Leslie let Kat into her apartment, assuming the girl was there to apologize for having recorded her and sending the police in with a search warrant. Kat had no intention of saying she was sorry, but she did say she was there for “mutual surrender” – since she was certain that Leslie and Eva had destroyed any evidence they might have had. Leslie spoke louder in her denial in case Kat was recording her again, but before she could agree or disagree to Kat's offer of a truce, Leslie got a phone call and asked Kat to stand on the other side of the room while she took it.
Tomás learned from Connie that Bill had collapsed and been rushed to the hospital. Connie received a call from a woman who wouldn't leave her name; Tomás's radar pinged when he heard the caller was “Eva's mom.” Tomás phoned Leslie back, asking her to meet – at the same time, out of Leslie's eyeline, Kat gently pushed Leslie's living room window open a crack. After Leslie arranged to meet Tomás at Orphey Gene's, she told Kat that she could leave at any time; Kat observed that Leslie had a major chip on her shoulder. “You should have met me before I met your daddy,” Leslie purred. When Kat said that Leslie hadn't yet taken her olive branch, Leslie replied that the only branch she wanted was “the one that goes across your behind for your insolence.”
As Leslie seated herself at the diner, she made a point of mentioning that Eva had described how bright and persuasive Tomás was – and that he made things happen. Tomás thought that Leslie was in need of a defense attorney, but what she really wanted was a “fixer,” like the Duprees had in Bill. Leslie had seen through Kat's pretense of a truce and figured Tomás could get the obsessed Kat to back off. Meanwhile, Kat snuck into Leslie's apartment, moved a laundry basket which contained a bottle of Tide, and planted the helmet and gloves in the storage area of Leslie's ottoman.
Tomás knew that Leslie hadn't come to see him about filing an anti-stalking order against Kat and demanded to know what Leslie really wanted to talk about; Leslie laid out that Eva had been infatuated with him and suggested that they would make a good couple. “Lose my number,” Tomás said as he walked out of the eatery. Leslie watched as Tomás passed an entering Jacob and Derek. “Well, they just can't get enough of Leslie,” she told herself slyly, waving at the men.
As Jacob and Derek took a table next to Leslie's booth, Leslie quipped that everyone knew everyone in their town, and all roads led to Jacob. Kat joined the detective and the firefighter, but was dismayed to find Leslie there. Leslie's tone turned cold as she mentioned having seen a lawyer about Kat's intrusions into her life: “Keep pushing. See what happens when I push back.” As Leslie strutted out, Jacob promised to be her shadow. Derek excused himself, and Kat told Jacob that she had another theory: Leslie had hidden the evidence elsewhere until after Jacob searched her apartment – with that done, Leslie had brought the items home. Jacob considered the theory sound and decided to get a second search warrant.
Leslie burst into Eva's hotel room, looking around and commanding Eva to hand over her gloves and helmet. Eva insisted that Leslie would be in jail if she hadn't taken the articles out of Leslie's place. Leslie was panicked about Kat and the police breathing down her neck, but Eva felt that her mother should be thanking her for protecting her. Leslie's eyebrow arched when Eva mentioned wanting to go to bed, but Eva ushered Leslie out of the room before she could follow up. Once alone, Eva was horrified to see that Leslie's incriminating belongings were gone.
Naomi and Chelsea waited at the hospital amidst news that Bill was at least stable. The worried Naomi, who was humbled that her masterful father had been described as weak, spoke on the phone with Jacob, who reminded his wife that Bill was, in fact, alive. In Bill's room, Bill was well enough to kick up a fuss over the battery of tests he was being put through...by Madison, a neurologist.
Naomi and Chelsea greeted Bill as he was wheeled out of his room; though Bill tried to make like he was fine, Naomi reminded Bill that her bestie – nurse Ashley – could see through his bull. Ashley remarked how impatient Bill had been in waiting his turn for a CT scan and how he had tried to bribe his way to the front of the line. Naomi was at least glad Bill still had his “winning personality.” Father and daughters expressed their love as Bill was taken away, and Chelsea decided that waiting at the nurses' station was better than waiting in Bill's room with Hayley.
Chelsea was upset that she and Naomi had had to hear about Bill from Derek and wondered why Hayley hadn't told them; Naomi reluctantly acknowledged that, since Hayley had been conferencing with the doctors, she would know best about Bill's condition. Chelsea reluctantly agreed to form a united front with Hayley for Bill's sake. When the Hamilton sisters entered the room, Hayley burst into tears and rushed into Naomi's arms, at a loss over what they were going to do. Chelsea rolled her eyes.
Naomi reminded Hayley that they needed to not get ahead of themselves; Chelsea jumped in to find out what Hayley had been told by the doctors. Hayley shared the hypothesis that Bill had suffered a stroke, but added that they wouldn't know for sure until the results of the CT scan. When Hayley blamed herself for not forcing Bill to stay in the hospital the first time after the TIA, Naomi stressed that Hayley wasn't to blame for Bill's collapse...and Chelsea grudgingly backed Naomi up. Hayley was very thankful that her adversaries had said that to her. Dani rushed in and was surprised to find Naomi taking Hayley's hand, which made her back into the nurses' station.
As Chelsea and Naomi found Dani in the outer area, Bill came off the elevator on a stretcher. Though Dani told her daughters she didn't think Bill looked good, she put on a face for her ex and declared that he always ended up on top. Once Bill was back in his room, he sassed Ashley, who had to defer to the neurologist to reveal his CT scan results. Dani scolded Bill for not staying for observation during his first visit, which might have prevented the second visit. “But Bill always knows best,” Dani smirked. Hayley cringed when Bill said that Dani was the same way, and that that was what had made them such a good team.
Dani exhorted Bill to listen to the practitioners this time, because he had children. “And one on the way,” Hayley piped up, but Dani didn't address the comment. She only said that they all needed him to be even better than he was before. Hayley quietly cradled Bill's hand. Later, as Hayley, Chelsea, and Naomi got anxious waiting for the scan results, Bill joked that it was quiet, like a funeral. Naomi declared she was filing a lawsuit against Bill's firm – she didn't know for what, but she needed Bill to get well so she could wipe the floor with him in court. Bill laughed that Naomi couldn't handle him, even while he was in a hospital bed; Naomi nodded that Bill had passed her test.
After Dani returned to be present for the results, Madison walked in, shocking Chelsea. Madison introduced herself as Dr. Montgomery, as if she and Chelsea had never met. Bill's wives and daughters paid attention as Madison revealed that Bill had been shown to have had a small stroke – it had affected his brain stem, but the chances of recovery were good. However, Bill was blindsided to learn that it would be 6 to 8 months until he was back to normal. Chelsea pointedly said, “Whatever Dr. Montgomery says, goes.” Dani noticed Chelsea staring at Madison.
Once Madison left, Bill seemed to be in need of something, and Hayley headed Dani off to see what it was. Everyone laughed when Hayley reported that Bill was asking for bourbon; Naomi decreed that Bill could have whatever he wanted as long as it was water. Chelsea grabbed the little water jug in the room and eagerly rushed out to fill it, further attracting Dani's attention.
Chelsea ambushed Madison, who conceded she'd pretended not to know Chelsea because she hadn't been sure if Chelsea was out to her family. “Do we really need to do this?” Madison asked when Chelsea pressed her to explain why she had been so abrupt during their previous meeting with Naomi. Madison finally admitted that she was trying to maintain her professionalism, but also that she followed Chelsea religiously on social media. Chelsea invited Madison to join her on a live stream, flirtatiously saying that everyone would be interested in her.
Bill was uncomfortable with Hayley fussing over the angle of his hospital bed, so Dani instructed Hayley to let Bill figure out the control himself – it would give him something to do while he learned how to be grateful for Hayley's help. Chelsea came back without the water she'd gone out for, which both Dani and Naomi noticed. Seeing Bill struggling to sit up, Chelsea helped him to do so while Dani left for the water.
Dani saw Andre saying goodbye to Ashley and Derek; Andre had stopped by to be a friendly face for Dani. She replied that he had a great face, but that there were other parts of him she liked better. Andre intuited that everyone was being taken care of except Dani, and he offered to do that for her. “My place in a few,” Dani winked – but her expression changed as she saw Nicole getting off the elevator. Dani ran to her sister and filled her in on Bill's prognosis, after which Nicole eyed Andre and remarked, “Nice of my nephew to show up.” Andre beat a hasty retreat while Dani glued on a smile.
