Here's what went down Friday, May 30, 2025 on Beyond the Gates, when Andre and Dani separately confided in loved ones about their relationship, Tracy tried to get through to Sharon, and Nicole joined the investigation into Leslie.
What happened on Beyond the Gates

On Beyond the Gates, Vernon couldn't get the distracted Anita's attention; she was looking over the menu she had prepared for the meal that would be served to the returning Tracy – who was bringing Sharon. Anita steeled herself when the doorbell rang, but only found Tracy on the step. Anita assumed Sharon hadn't come, but Tracy reported that Sharon was resting at the hotel and wanted to check out Orphey Gene's. Vernon was ready to truck on down to the diner, but Tracy felt things would go better if she lunched with Sharon alone...without Anita.
Tracy promised she'd do her best, but Anita had a bad feeling about the situation. Later, Vernon wanted to look at the menu Anita had prepared, but she took the folder away from him and said she had told the staff not to prepare the fancy meal for Sharon; they'd make something simple. Assuming, Anita added, that Sharon even showed.
Sharon and Tracy greeted each other at the diner. Tracy pointed out the Articulettes album cover on the wall and their songs being on each table's jukebox. “I wonder how many demands the queen made before that happened,” Sharon sniffed. “How many people she used and abused to get her way.” Tracy wondered if it had been a mistake for them to get together; Sharon had been wondering herself. Sharon warned Tracy that if the Duprees thought they were in for a warm reunion, they had another thing coming.
Sharon finally let Tracy address the problem of The Articulettes once she'd eaten; Tracy asked if it wasn't high time they stopped punishing each other for things that had been beyond their control. Sharon didn't appreciate Tracy's tendency to side with Anita and proclaimed she wasn't planning to forget anything. Tracy begged Sharon to move on and assured her wounded co-singer that Anita had the same hole in her heart that they did. Sharon took it in as Tracy suggested they all three see what it was like to be in the same room together again, but would only say that she needed to see Anita showing real remorse.
Vernon felt bad that he had pushed for Anita to do the concert (and the “tour”) and acknowledged that Anita would rather just sit and enjoy her well-ordered life. Anita caught on that her husband was using reverse psychology on her, but only hugged Vernon when he said that he'd thought the comeback would bring Anita joy, not more grief. Finally, when Vernon queried whether or not Anita even wanted to do the show, she confided that performing with her “sisters” was all she could think of...and Vernon had seen that in her long before she had been able to admit it to herself. Then, the doorbell rang...and Anita opened the door to Sharon.
At Uptown, Pamela ended a call with someone who was to meet with her and Dani – Ms. Curtis instructed the guest to be themselves. Dani padded in wearing dark glasses, bemoaning the fact that Bill's child bride was now having a child herself. However, Dani was determined to bury herself in making the fledgling modeling agency a success. A young man, Adam, approached the table; Dani gave him a once-over and asked Adam how he felt about nudity, but Adam wasn't there as a prospective model. He ran a jewelry company, and Pamela had asked him to come by and meet Dani, who was sheepish.
Dani smirked that it had been a long time since she'd been given a man. Her questions revealed that Adam was recently divorced, and that he wanted to take Dani shopping – not to mention to the Smithsonian to observe its cache of precious jewels. Dani waved politely as Adam left, and Pamela was stunned that Dani didn't seem interested in such a catch. “It's not like you're seeing someone,” Pamela sniffed. Dani looked the other way.
Pamela worried that everything Dani was doing was a reaction to Bill and Hayley, and when Dani vehemently insisted that Hayley was faking her pregnancy, Pamela just wanted to be sure that Dani wouldn't storm the delivery room with a gun. Once Pamela pushed Dani to move on with her life, which included meeting a guy, Dani relented and told Pamela she was already seeing someone – Andre. Pamela was surprised that Dani was hooking up with her sister's nephew; Dani corrected that Andre was only directly related to Ted.
Dani was afraid that Nicole was still too fragile to hear about her and Andre and demanded that Pamela not open her mouth. “My mouth isn't the issue in this particular situation,” Pamela sassed. After Dani and Pamela giggled over Andre's prowess as a lover, Pamela promised to keep Dani's liaison to herself but speculated that most men couldn't wait to tell the world about being with a strong, sexy woman.
Kat and Mona went through a box of clothes (situated next to a bottle of Febreze) that was being donated to charity. Mona observed that all the fancy duds were practically new; Kat reasoned that even the needy would be excited to be able to dress up a bit and feel better about themselves. Mona was surprised when Kat stated she wasn't the spoiled little rich girl everyone thought she was...especially someone key. When Mona sat Kat down, the ChelseaKat exec told Mona how she had gone to have dinner with Ted, only to find Leslie in his hotel room.
While Kat was decrying happening upon the “grotesque” scene, Nicole walked in and sensed a secret when Kat suddenly became evasive about what she was describing. Nicole was shocked when Kat showed her the photo of the nurse going into Laura's hospital room. Mona moaned that she hadn't been able to positively ID Leslie, and Nicole sighed that, even with irrefutable evidence, there didn't seem to be anything that anyone could do to hold Leslie accountable. Nicole thanked Kat, who eyed a leather jacket in the collection and tried it on...she also found something in the pocket: a parking ticket for a motorcycle that bore no license plate.
Kat checked, and the address listed on the ticket was in the vicinity of the warehouse that had caught the marauding motorcycle on its security cameras; she realized she could be wearing the jacket of the assailant. Also in its pocket was the coffee shop receipt of a customer named “Cherrie C.” Nicole remembered that Leslie had introduced herself as “Sherry Carter,” and Kat hypothesized that baristas often spelled people's names wrong. Since Leslie went to Mona's church, Kat said, she could easily have gotten rid of the jacket there, knowing it was holding a clothing drive. Nicole wasn't sure if the items were enough to have Leslie arrested, but Kat was sure they were that much closer to it.
Digging through the jacket's other pockets, Kat discovered a receipt from a place Mona recognized as a thrift shop she and Leslie used to frequent. When Nicole still thought the connections to Leslie were dicey, Mona and Kat decided to follow up on the leads...and Nicole decided to assist them.
Leslie bopped around with headphones on in her closet, reaching for a hat on an upper shelf. In doing so, she knocked down a bag that held black gloves and the motorcycle helmet she had worn when she ran Laura off the road. As Leslie handled the items, Eva let herself in with her key and saw her mother with them; she backed up, closed the door, and shouted for Leslie from the hallway, prompting Leslie to scurry back into the closet to hide the damning wearables.
When Leslie let Eva in, Eva said she had come for the rest of her things...which Leslie had shoved into a garbage bag for her. Leslie offered Eva the use of a box, as long as she brought it back. While Eva packed the box, Leslie went over how she had visited Ted and run into Kat; Leslie chortled that she didn't think Kat liked her. Eva proclaimed it would be safer if Leslie stayed away from Kat. Leslie agreed, after having been recorded by Kat – this had Eva fuming that Leslie would accuse her of attacking Laura. It didn't matter, Leslie said smugly, because there was no evidence to indicate her as the motorcycle rider.
Leslie shooed Eva out, saying she had to go somewhere. Eva sadly divulged that she still enjoyed being around her mother, but Leslie replied that now, Eva had better. Leslie continued to feel betrayed over Eva seemingly choosing the Richardsons over her; Eva reminded Leslie that it had been her plan for Eva to be accepted by Ted. Though Eva wished she and Leslie still had their mother-daughter relationship, Leslie was convinced that Eva was telling her new family how crazy Leslie was. Eva was flattened when Leslie snapped that kicking her out had been the best thing for both of them – now Eva could flit around her rich relatives and stop cramping Leslie's style. Leslie demanded that Eva give her key back; if Eva wanted to visit, she could knock like everybody else...but Leslie herself was in tears by the time Eva left.
Entering Orphey Gene's, Kat and Mona had struck out at the coffee shop. Kat was ready to have Jacob test the jacket for Leslie's prints and DNA, but Mona cautioned that Leslie's coming into contact with the jacket didn't place her at the scene of the crime. Suddenly, Leslie startled them – she assumed they were hatching conspiracy theories about her.
Eva let herself back into Leslie's apartment with a second key she'd kept and made a beeline for the closet, making off with the helmet bag she had seen Leslie with earlier.
Andre stopped by Ted's hotel with coffee; after Ted was relieved his visitor wasn't “Dana,” Andre jokingly asked if she had come by to return the $50,000 she had extorted from Ted. Andre listened to Ted's explanation of Leslie proposing to co-parent Eva, and how Kat had walked in on the discussion. Ted was still stung by the look of disgust on Kat's face...but he perked when Andre divulged that Kat had evidence proving Leslie had tried to kill Laura.
Once Andre told Ted about the security footage he had obtained for his documentary that showed someone, apparently in disguise, going into Laura's room right before Laura had her heart attack, Ted relayed that disguises were Leslie's M.O. and that he had gone to Eva's room to ask her thoughts about Leslie possibly targeting Laura – yet found Leslie there. Andre remarked that Ted was spending an awful lot of time with his former mistress, but Ted swore that Nicole was the only woman for him. Ted also noted that if the Duprees wanted someone out of their circle, that someone stayed out.
Ted's feeling was that “Dana” had gotten what she wanted – Ted's complete ostracization from Nicole and her family. He had no idea how to get through to Nicole between her deaf ear and the Dupree blockade – and he deduced that Andre didn't know much about relationships, since Andre usually didn't get his conquests' last names. Andre snorted that Ted and Nicole even sounded alike. Ted declared that casual flings were no substitute for a union with someone meaningful and challenged Andre to give him the name of one woman he had been serious about. Though Andre clammed up at first, he finally blurted out, “How about Dani?”
Andre concurred when Ted realized that Andre didn't consider Dani a mere dalliance. The photographer confessed that he might indeed have feelings for Ms. Dupree, but that Dani was still trying to get over Bill. Ted swore he'd keep Andre's thing with Dani a secret and didn't give Andre the disapproval he was expecting for carrying on with someone near family; Ted asserted that Dani was part of Nicole's family, not theirs. Andre described how what had started as bed romps had evolved into a deepening friendship and had brought out something protective in him. When Andre groused that Dani also wanted to keep their arrangement private, Ted intuited that Andre's feelings were more ardent than hers.
Fretting that it might only be wishful thinking that Dani could be more serious than she was letting on, Andre figured Dani could do better than him anyway. Ted advised Andre to treat Dani right, or “not even my plastic surgery skills are gonna be able to put you back together again.” Andre understood. Afterwards, Ted checked to see if the flowers he'd ordered had been delivered to Nicole – they had, and she read a note from him detailing how he'd fallen in love with her the moment they'd met on Maui...plus, he still loved her. Nicole took a flower from the bouquet and wore it in her hair, as Ted remembered Nicole had in his message.
