Here's what went down Wednesday, November 19, 2025 on Beyond the Gates when Dani and Andre discovered they each had three little words as their ringtone, Ted was called upon to help someone become peachy keen, and Uptown became a sibling battleground.
What happened on Beyond the Gates

On Beyond the Gates, Dani beamed that she loved hotel living and L.A. shopping. She remembered from her brief time residing in the City of Angels that Melrose Avenue had a plethora of little shops that beheld vintage outfits and trinkets. Andre distracted Dani from her mission with a make-out session, and soon the newlyweds were soaking in their suite's hot tub. There came a knock on the door, and Dani assumed it was room service with the champagne and strawberries they had ordered, but it was the delivery of their custom-made wedding rings.
Mrs. Richardson was awed by her jeweler's attention to detail, marveling that he had “captured everything I feel when I'm with you and forged it into metal.” She and Andre placed the bands on each other's fingers with the expected “with this ring, I thee wed” statements – but Dani, after joking that she and Andre had been too blitzed to remember what else they'd originally said at their Vegas ceremony, spoke new vows, promising Andre that she would treat his heart “like it is the most fragile treasure I own.”
Andre calmed Dani's stress about the implications of “'til death do us part” by saying they would take their marriage day by day; then he swore to be Dani's mirror “when the world forgets your worth.” The photographer became emotional as he admitted that he'd thought he'd known what love was only to feel something he hadn't known was possible. “I love you,” Andre found himself professing to Dani, understanding if that was a lot for her to hear. Dani reciprocated the phrase, making sure to let Andre know she wasn't doing so just because he had uttered it first. She verified that she had originally fallen in lust with Andre, but that she had changed, and now she thought of Andre as her forever.
Eva met with Ted, who shocked her by inviting her to be his plus-one at WinterFest. Though Eva was moved by the inclusion, she worried how Kat would react. Ted cautiously replied that he could understand Kat's fury considering what he'd heard about Eva sleeping with Kat's boyfriend. Eva sighed that she and Tomás had indeed gone to bed, but pointed out that, as far as Tomás knew, he and Kat had been over. Ted knew he was in no place to judge, moving on to whether or not Eva had become “aggressive” with Kat.
Ted listened as Eva insisted that she had had to defend herself against Kat; he wasn't pleased to learn that Eva had called Kat a “spoiled little bitch.” Eva countered that it likewise hadn't been proper for Kat to deem her a “boyfriend-stealing hood rat.” Ted couldn't deny Eva's right to stand up for herself but remained determined that he wasn't going to choose between his daughters, even if they were ultimately unable to make peace with each other.
Kat brought Anita a cache of important documents relating to WinterFest, only to find that Chelsea had done so first; Kat had forgotten that Chelsea was the point person for that task. Anita noted that Kat usually wasn't that much off her game and asked what was wrong. Kat said she hated everybody, starting with Eva, “that homewrecking whore.” “Katherine! Language!” Anita scolded, wanting dignity in her home.
After Kat apologized for the slip, she said that things were actually going well between her and Tomás – and it was surprisingly because of Hayley and her “clutch” advice. As for Eva, Kat understood Anita's position that Ted was trying to do right by his other daughter, but every time he did, it felt like he was doing his original family wrong.
Anita confided in Kat about how she had grudgingly given Leslie grunt work to do for WinterFest – as a means of keeping her eye on the woman. She was in the middle of telling her granddaughter she had also made the move because of the way Leslie had taunted Laura when Kat received a text from Martin. “Boy bye!” Kat scoffed, angered that her brother was acting like nothing was wrong. The Dupree matriarch didn't discount Kat's feud with her half-sibling, but she reminded Kat that Martin was a full blood relative, and that folks weren't given many such deep connections in life.
When Kat said she had been cut to the quick by Martin's harsh words, Anita said that kind of pain was “the tax of having a heart.” Anita continued that Kat couldn't simply cut off everyone she had disputes with and convinced Kat to “get your ass” over to Uptown, where Martin wanted to meet Kat for lunch. “Gran! Language!” Kat winked, leaving the Dupree mansion to join her brother.
Eva found Martin at Uptown; she told her half-brother not to take it personally that her half-sister hadn't shown up, since she was probably loaded down with ChelseaKat business. Martin asked Eva to have lunch with him instead, and heard from Eva how Leslie was trying to forge a friendship with Ted. The two also discussed how Anita had brought Leslie into WinterFest, with Martin championing the possibility of the Duprees and the Thomases also becoming friends.
Kat entered and overheard Martin telling Eva that he was happy Ted had given her permission to call him “Dad.” As Kat clandestinely took a seat at an adjoining booth, Martin responded to Eva relaying how upset Kat had been by blurting out that the girls weren't in a competition and that Kat needed to “shut her big mouth.”
Eva allowed that, were the situations reversed, “I'd hate me, too,” but Martin felt that Kat had been pushing everyone's buttons of late and expressed his disillusionment that Kat had spouted off about her sex life with Samantha in earshot. Kat was mortified when Eva and Martin laughed about Tomás's “broken equipment,” though afterwards, Martin groused about how he and Smitty were still having to deal with the fallout of Samantha trying to experiment with Nathan because of Kat's open sex positivity.
Martin appreciated Eva's offer to talk to Samantha and instructed his newfound half-sibling not to let Kat “gaslight” her. In his opinion, Kat had been coddled too much, having been his parents' “miracle baby;” Eva chuckled at Martin's implication that Kat was a “giant baby.” But, after Martin left, Eva found an angry Kat up in her face.
Kat seethed even more upon finding out that Ted had invited Eva to WinterFest. She warned Eva to “stay in your lane before I push you into traffic.” Eva conceded that she shouldn't have made light of Kat causing Tomás injury, but when Kat fumed that her man's anatomy was not Eva's business, Eva smirked, “Not anymore.” Kat was floored that Eva would go there, growling that it had been been unfortunate that Bill hadn't been able to make Eva disappear before she had been born. Martin returned and couldn't believe his sister's caustic words.
Vernon got off a call with Sharon at the country club, telling her she was beautiful just the way she was. The senator was startled when Leslie suddenly approached, cryptically talking about how much they had in common. Like her, she purred, Vernon had been spending a lot of time at the Bowman Hotel, except she lived there. Vernon wouldn't play, not even when Leslie said she had witnessed him in the hallway with a “special friend” who had known Barbara closely.
When Vernon spat that Leslie was only at Fairmont Crest because of his wife's generosity in setting up the trust fund for Barbara, Leslie grinned that she was appreciative of Anita's “guilt money,” but added that she had a proposal for how she could be convinced to stay quiet about Vernon “getting busy with [his] wife's former groupmate.” Being asked to address WinterFest invitation envelopes, Leslie sniffed, had been akin to “asking Alfre Woodard to pass out flyers.” Leslie wanted to do something that put her more front and center.
After Leslie went so far as to suggest she co-host the event, Vernon stoically informed Leslie that he couldn't be extorted. Leslie decided to play nice about their secret – except Anita arrived and wanted to know what secret they were talking about. Leslie smirked and said that Anita didn't have to worry that she and Vernon were having an affair – after all, the very idea of “a moral paragon” like Vernon sneaking off to the Bowman for something illicit!
Leslie thanked Anita for being put in charge of the invitations, reminding her that it never paid to put one's faith in the wrong person as she eyed Vernon knowingly. Once Leslie departed, Anita returned to the subject of what secret might exist between her husband and Leslie. Vernon tried to pivot by saying that he and Leslie had found common ground in their appreciation of Anita, though he couldn't fathom why Anita had let Leslie be a part of WinterFest; Anita said it was her way of keeping Leslie in view after she had terrorized Laura – but Anita remarked that Vernon still hadn't addressed the secret.
Vernon hedged but finally said that Leslie had been sharing her displeasure about being tasked with menial work – and Anita sussed out that they had kept things hushed to avoid giving clubmembers anything to gossip about. Anita considered giving Leslie something more noteworthy to do after all, since it was hard to gauge what the “loose cannon” would do if she didn't get her way. Vernon barely hid his concern.
Leslie went to see Ted, who thought she had come to complain about Shanice. After hearing that Leslie wanted his help treating Peaches, he indicated that he was a plastic surgeon, not a cardiac surgeon, so there was nothing he could do directly. Leslie fretted that Peaches' years of smoking had caught up to her and that she couldn't simply sit back while the woman was dying. Ted was sympathetic, but when Leslie wanted him to use his connections to get Peaches into drug trials, he attempted to make clear that there were protocols to observe and that Leslie couldn't just buy her way in. Leslie pleaded with Ted to do what he could.
