For a while now, we have known that fixer Bill (Timon Kyle Durett) was the lawyer Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) mentioned, when she told everyone about being run out of town and paid off. Now, we have all the juicy details about how it went down. Some were unsurprised, and others, like Bill’s daughters, Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) and Naomi (Arielle Prepetit), were shocked at yet another blow to the figure they call father. Ted went around to see Bill, and was full of statements like I thought you were a fixer, you told me you would handle this, and now this thing you said you would handle has blown up my marriage. Ted was understandably angry, but Bill replied that he had told Ted all those years ago that there were no guarantees when a woman believes she loves you. Ted soon recovered his wits and realized that he only had himself to blame; it was all on him. Bill said if he needs help, he’s there for him and to say the words.

Bill’s bad, but NOT that bad

Bill, right about now, will be wondering how his daughters feel about him now that they must know the sordid details of how he paid Leslie (then called Dana) a large sum of money to leave town and not keep the baby. On top of that, he made the very credible threat that if Dana were to keep the baby, then neither she nor the baby would ever be safe. And then described a situation where she might be at a stoplight and someone would jump out of the car next to her and snatch the baby and sell it on the black market to the highest bidder. Rightfully, he should have been worried about how Chelsea and Naomi would react, but, unknown to Bill, an unlikely pair of voices advocated for him.

Chelsea was at that moment, at the Dupree residence, Dani had left to be with Nicole, Naomi had gone… we don't know where, but let's say she went to use her Tide laundry detergent, carefully placed at the foot of the bed. Chelsea was horrified at the accusations leveled at her father regarding his threats to Leslie on Ted's behalf, and she asked Vernon if it could be true. Vernon replied that they all knew Bill could be ruthless in the courtroom and had a reputation. Vernon added that while Bill was more than capable of saying those words and threatening Leslie, he had seen nothing that made him think that Bill would ever make good on those threats. Anita said, “Bill was a bully, but not a brute.” Chelsea said that was all she wanted to know; she knew what sort of man her father was to her, Dani, and that he could indeed be ruthless in the courtroom, but she wanted to know if that's where it ended. This seemed to help a lot, as Naomi then thanked Anita for making her so chill, and she hugged them both.

Bill certainly has a road to go before he will be having his daughters join him and Hayley (Marquita Goings) at a table in the posh dining room of the Fairmont Crest Country Club. Still, at least Chelsea knows he would never have committed acts of violence towards Leslie and her young Eva (Ambyr Michelle), this should go a long way when she thinks about reconnecting with her errant Father.
