What to Expect on Beyond the Gates

Since Kat (Colby Muhammed) and Chelsea’s (RhonniRose Mantilla)conversation was overheard by Samantha (Najah Jackson) and the resulting scene where Smitty (Mike Manning) and Martin (Brandon Claybon) came home to find Samantha and her boyfriend on the couch together, about to have sex, Martin and Kat have not been vibing. Understatement of the year, but in Thursday's episode, Martin tries to make amends with his sister. How well this goes, only goodness knows, but we are here for it.

In Thursday’s episode, Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) receives a warning regarding Marcel’s (Darryl W. Handy) intentions. The jury is still out on what Marcel is really up to here, but all signs point to him wanting to leave the force on a high note with a significant arrest in case that's slipping away. Leslie had better be careful, as Marcel is more slippery than a greased eel.

In Thursday's episode, Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) and Jacob (Jibre Hordges) try their best to navigate a new normal. Things are slowly returning to normal for the one couple we can believe in on this show, other than Vernon (Clifton Davis) and Anita (Tamara Tunie), of course. No more talking about kids and the eternal debate of whether to have them or not, and who has to compromise. We are seeing the two become the very much in love pair we have always known them to be. This episode looks like Jacob has really gone all out.

In Thursday’s episode, Eva gets an earful from Laura (Destiny Love), and Tomas (Alex Alegria) gets advice from an unlikely source. Laura has had enough of Leslie always being in her face and making her feel scared of what's to come next. Laura is going to approach the one person who may actually be able to talk to Leslie and get her to stop, or she's just going to vent. As for Tomas, talking to someone may actually help him navigate this next step with Kat, or “not,” next step in a way that doesn't blow these things wide open again.
