What to Expect on Beyond the Gates
Marcel (Darryl W. Handy) has a plan to close out a significant case before he retires, and he has his sights set on Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant). And if it weren’t for Laura (Destiny Love) telling Eva (Ambyr Michelle) that Marcel was hired to be security at Winterfest, with the sole purpose of keeping Leslie away from Laura, Leslie would have no idea that he wasn't just being charming. In Thursday's episode, Leslie calls out Marcel for his deception.
Talking about the past
In Thursday's episode, Dani (Karla Mosley) and Bill (Timon Kyle Durett) come to a new understanding as they reminisce about their past. At the same time, Anita (Tamara Tunie) helps Andre (Sean Freeman) open up about his own. Both Anita and Vernon have voiced their concern to Dani about her feelings toward her ex-husband. Dani has assured them she is out from under the spell of Bill Hamilton. Andre Richardson had a rough start in life, and he opened up to Dani about how it changed him and shaped his direction. This time, Anita will get Andre to open up.
Old friends, new problems
In Thursday's episode, Randy (Maurice P. Kerry) catches up with an old friend, which leaves him and Hayley with more questions than answers. Lynette (Dominique Madison) is the new client at Bill's law firm, but little does Bill know that Lynette knows more about Hayley (Marquita Goings) than Bill does. Seeing Randy and Lynette together for the first time in a long time will be interesting to see the dynamic, but will it cause friction between Randy and Hayley's team? Bill needs to wise up if he wants to make it through the holiday season and into the new year alive.
