Beyond the Gates Spoilers, Next week sneak peek December 22nd to 26th December: Ted has Christmas with Shanice and Anita tells Vernon she has cancer

Here are your Beyond the Gates spoilers for next week: Here’s a look ahead at the episodes we’ll see from Monday, December 22nd, to Friday, December 26th, 2025.

Kicking things off this week is a scene with Sharon (Bonita Brisker) and Vernon (Clifton Davis) at the Dupree mansion. Sharon is asking Vernon, "What if Leslie tells Anita?" And Vernon responds by assuring Sharon that Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) has told him that she can keep it quiet, for now. Sharon is not happy with that and asks Vernon if they can trust her. To which he tells Sharon, “ Oh hell no.”

Merry Christmas

Next, Ted (Keith D. Robinson) and Shanice (Ernestine Johnson) share pizza and watch a movie. Shanice passes Ted a slice and wishes Ted a merry Christmas. Ted holds up his fork and proclaims, "Merry Christmas to everyone!" This is such a good look, the two of them enjoying each other's company without having to label it or defend it to anyone.

Izaiah and Eva

Izaiah and Eva sit close together on the couch at Eva’s (Ambyr Michelle) apartment, and Izaiah (David Lami Friebe) asks her what a woman like her wants. Eva just tells him, “What everyone wants?” The two then begin to kiss passionately. This young romance looks great, too, and it’s great to see Eva out of the triangle with Kat (Colby Muhammed) and Tomas (Alex Alegria).

Who is your family, Bill?

Things are more than a bit tense in the house of Bill (Timon Kyle Durett) and Hayley Hamilton (Marquita Goings). Hayley is challenging Bill by asking him to remember that the Duporees are not his family anymore; she is his family. Bill cannot let the Duoprees go, and he still very much holds a torch for Dani (Karla Mosley), calling losing her his greatest regret. While he hasn’t told Hayley that, sometimes you can see that she feels it. It’s hard to feel sorry for Hayley, though, considering her path to Bill and her actions since.

Light-hearted humour

To lighten the mood little after that scene, we have Chelsea (RhoniRose mantilla) arriving at her mothers house where she sees her sister Naomi (Arielle Prepetit) with a weird soft toy on her head. Chelsea asks what on earth it is and Naomi answers by squeezing a bulb which forces water through the soft toys tail and squirts Chelsea in the face. Looking on and laughing at this ridiculousness is Jacob (Jibre Hordges), Nicole (Daphnée Duplaix), Dani and Andre (Sean Freeman). This looks to be just what is needed before the bombshell ahead is dropped.

The big C

The moment we all feared is here. Vernon sits with Anita (Tamara Tunie) on the couch and, horrified, asks, “Cancer?” and Anita is scared but staunch and tells Vernon that she wants to see them all year. Their children, their grandchildren, and their children. Vernon has tear-filled eyes as he looks at Anita, and she exclaims that she wants this to be the best damn Dupree Christmas ever! The fight has begun, and what an emotionally charged week we have ahead of us.
