Beyond the Gates Spoilers, next week sneak peek September 22nd to 26th: Joey whisks Vanessa away to paradise and Doug might be in danger

Next Week on Beyond the Gates

It's getaway time on Beyond the Gates. Dani (Karla Mosley) and Andre (Sean Freeman) fall backwards onto a bed together. It’s Viva Las Vegas time for this semi-couple; this will be a welcome distraction for these two and a way to put the past weeks behind them.

Elsewhere, Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie) says, “We don't ask why, we say bye, bye, bye.” A line from one of the famous Articlette songs sets the stage for some soapy drama, as both Dani and Andre recognize the lady to whom Anita is speaking. The Articulettes in Vegas?

Puerto Rico, here we come

Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) and Joey (Jon Lindstrom) are at Uptown when Joey springs a big surprise on Vanessa,” You want to take me on a vacation says Vanessa. He sure does, and she readily accepts and is whisked off to the tropical paradise of Puerto Rico.

Once at the hotel, Joey has a request for Vanessa, and she agrees to anything; he just has to name it. “Take off your wedding ring,” Joey says to Vanessa. Will she do this for the man she lusts after? Back in the DMV, Doug (Jason Graham) is at Joey's casino talking to none other than Detective Marcel Malone (Darryl W. Handy) and, whilst rubbing his wedding band, says, “This marriage thing is nothing but a high stakes gamble and the odds are never in your favor.”

Marcel and Doug being in the same place at the same time cannot be a coincidence. Is Doug's luck about to run out? Joey said he’d be safe from him, but that didn't mean Doug could not have an “accident”

Trouble in paradise

Vanessa is woken in bed by her phone ringing; it’s Detective Jacob Hawthorne (Jibre Hordges) calling from the police station. Jacob tells Vanessa that he has an important matter that he needs to talk to her about, emphasizing the word "need." Vanessa sits up in bed, asking Jacob what’s going on.

Beside her is Joey, who looks very intense and likely knows exactly what is going on. Of note in the background during Jacob's call to Vanessa is Marcel, walking over closer, trying to eavesdrop and find out how much Jacob knows. Stay tuned, soap fan,s this week heats up like a heat wave and storm clouds are brewing in paradise.
