There's never a dull moment in Fairmont Crest, and Vernon (Clifton Davis) has been busy putting out family fires for months now, and it’s not over yet. In Monday's episode, Vernon springs into action to thwart an interloper.

Friday's episode left us on a cliffhanger. Ashley (Jen Jacob) proposed to Derek (Ben Gavin). Now Derek has some soul-searching to be doing; he overheard Ashley and Andre (Sean Freeman) talking about what could have been and how Andre could have been making Ashley breakfast in bed at that very moment. Will Derek say yes? is the big question we are all asking. Derek is beginning to feel like a charity case after hearing Asghley talk about him being all alone if she had chosen Andre. Derek may have also just noticed that he can feel his leg, and was about to tell Ashley when she walked in with the proposal. That secret could be the end of them before they get anywhere. Again, this looks like a mess waiting to happen. In Monday's episode, Derek has a big decision to make concerning his future.

Eva (Ambyr Michelle) is once again at odds with Kat (Colby Muhammed) and finds herself in the middle of her conflict with Tomas (Alex Alegria). Still, in Monday's episode, Eva is rocked to see her father in such distress. Ted (Keith D. Robinson) has been trying to get Nicole's (Daphnée Duplaix) attention and to get himself another chance at fixing his family. Each time Nicole has shot the idea down, the rejection has an impact on Ted, and it’s right on his face as Eva can clearly see.

New Beginnings

June (Jasmine Burke) has gotten herself a new job, but it’s not all plain sailing. June wonders if she can manage her new responsibilities and recreate her life, allowing her to be involved in Samantha's (Najah Jackson) and Tyrell's (Jaden Lucas Miller) lives once more.
