Beyond the Gates Summary for the week of December 15-19, 2025: Hayley got another identity and Anita got a cancerous diagnosis

What happened on Beyond the Gates

On Beyond the Gates, Joey responded to potential legislation that would regulate casinos and come down on money laundering by trying to talk Bill into running against Martin for his seat in Congress. Vanessa explained to Joey that she was tired of living to please everyone else and that she wanted to be authentic.

Naomi spoke to Leslie about funding the free clinic but reprimanded her for wanting to take the credit without doing any of the work. Samantha, who had conceived of the clinic, was upset that Leslie was going around saying the facility was her idea. Though Marcel admitted that he had started hovering around Leslie because he had been paid to, he expressed a physical interest and kissed her. Leslie feared she'd be sidelined due to Eva building holiday traditions with Ted, but Peaches labeled that “hogwash.”

Lynette pretended to have just met Hayley in front of Bill, then later called Hayley by her previous name, “Val.” Hayley swore to Lynette that she had fallen in love with Bill and wasn't scamming him, but she shared Randy's suspicion of Lynette and took Bill's assignment of working on Lynette's case to keep an eye on her one-time partner in crime.

Nicole accepted a date with Carlton, who arranged a romantic indoor picnic for her. Dani was surprised that Nicole had taken the initiative to kiss Carlton while keeping her options open with Kial. At first Nicole felt it unwise to bring Carlton to Dani's Christmas party, but when she called to invite him anyway, he already had plans with family.

Dani wanted to know what Bill had gotten their daughters for Christmas; Bill revealed that he had called in a favor with Genoa City lawyer Michael Baldwin so that Chelsea could distribute ChelseaKat wares through the department store chain of Baldwin's wife, Lauren Fenmore. Bill and Dani reminisced about past Christmases, including the one where Dani announced that she was pregnant with Naomi. As a result, Bill told a hesitant Hayley that he wanted to try again for a baby with her.

Despite never having tried a criminal case, Tomás was excited to have been given a chance to handle Lynette's. Tomás was disappointed when Kat didn't share his enthusiasm over the possibility of becoming Bill's partner at the firm; Kat cited Dani having given up her modeling career to please Bill as rationale for not moving in with Tomás.

Dani cheekily made a family Christmas card featuring the photo from her drunken wedding with Andre and the Anita impersonator, but Andre wanted to go with something more reflective of the love they had found since. Chelsea snuck into Dani's house to look for presents, while Eva declined to go to Martin's holiday gathering because Kat would be there. Ted gave Shanice a bird feeder to help her get over her fear of birds, while Ashley gave Shanice time off by taking her shift, since she would be alone for Christmas with Derek gone and Jan on a cruise. Samantha invited June over for the holidays; after Marcel worked on Elon and Eva worked on Izaiah, the father and son grudgingly agreed to spend Christmas together.

Vernon tasked Andre with restoring a 1973 photo depicting his first meeting with Anita. Andre assured Vernon that he wasn't keeping his own place to cheat on Dani like Bill had. Anita had to have a biopsy to examine a mass found in her breast – though it would likely be benign, Anita confided in Sharon and Tracy rather than risk worrying Vernon. While Anita saw her doctor for the results, Sharon pressured Vernon into a meeting and Leslie told Ted that Vernon was having an affair. Anita was gutted when her biopsy showed she had breast cancer.
