On Beyond the Gates, Ted invited Kat to spend Thanksgiving with him and Eva; Kat refused, even after Nicole thought her joining them would be a good idea. Bill drilled into Tomás that he'd have a better chance of making partner if he was in a committed relationship. After Kat lied to Tomás that she'd have to choose between her parents for the holiday, Tomás whisked her out of town, sure to mention that everyone would see how serious they were.

Izaiah called Eva the woman of his dreams and wondered if fate was conspiring against them when Ted interrupted their latest attempt to kiss. Though Ted had reservations about Izaiah because of his past actions, Eva assured her dad that Izaiah had mellowed. Eva gently turned down Ted's invitation to Thanksgiving dinner because she didn't want Leslie to be alone. Elon continued to resent Izaiah and wouldn't include him in the Hawthorne family gathering, so Jacob convinced his brother to attend the Dupree pre-dinner with him and Naomi. Izaiah and Eva agreed to compare holiday notes at a later time and finally got their chance to kiss again.

Dani wowed Anita and Nicole by telling them that she had ditched the Forrester Creations shoot in favor of going on a honeymoon with Andre, with whom she had fallen in love. Bill visited the Dupree women and did a slow burn upon hearing that Dani and Andre were doing so well.

While Elon and Marcel were considering falsifying arrest records to make the precinct look good, Jacob challenged Marcel to arrest Leslie so he could retire on a high note. Marcel found Leslie at Uptown; once he told Leslie that he was all but divorced from his wife, Leslie became flirtatious, which Ted saw. Ted surprised Leslie by including her in his celebration with Eva.

On Thanksgiving Day, Ashley and Jan dined with Mona, who was glad that Jan hadn't invited Leslie. Joey took over the closed Uptown to cook for Vanessa; she was moved that he had gone to so much trouble for her. Naomi described how Chelsea had managed to unite Madison and her estranged mother for dinner, though they were feasting on cauliflower steak. Tyrell wanted to bail on his family to be with Jessica, prompting Martin to remind him that this would be the teen's last Thanksgiving living at home. June was overwhelmed with joy to be able to spend the holiday with her children again, and Samantha thanked her dads for loving her enough to make sure she didn't grow up too fast.

Dani instructed Andre on how to use a Cascade tablet in her dishwasher; the newlyweds later laughed uproariously over the fact that they burned their holiday turkey. Leslie was glad to spend time with Eva and Ted as a family, encouraging Eva to accompany Ted to her brother Martin's house for dessert. At first Leslie was upset to learn that Eva was interested in the brother of Jacob, who had more than once tried to arrest her for the attacks on Laura, but Leslie became intrigued and thought it might be advantageous to have an in with a family of cops.

At the country club, Hayley was annoyed when Bill kept getting distracted by the Duprees across the room; she nearly took Bill up on his offer to leave but stayed when Izaiah arrived with his brother and sister-in-law. In the lobby, Hayley flirted with Izaiah and told him she was a fool for love. The Duprees barely tolerated being approached by Bill; he and Naomi told Jacob that they hadn't forgotten how he had rescued Chelsea from kidnapper Allison. Hayley rolled her eyes when Bill wanted to stick around to hear Vernon's speech, in which the former senator impressed upon everyone the healing power of gratitude.
