What to Expect on Beyond the Gates
Doug (Jason Graham) was way out of line at the casino, and his drunken antics endangered him and his wife. Well, more likely to endanger himself. Joey (Jon Lindstrom) is no stranger to violence, as we have seen, and Doug knows this as well as anyone. Having come close to being thrown out of the casino asd neong on the receiving end of an ass whooping, Doug needs to come correct. In Tuesday's episode, Ted (Keith D. Robinson) confronts Doug about his latest misstep. Can Ted be the one to get through to Doug before it’s too late? Doug may need to rethink his actions and his strategy if he wants to break free from Joey's influence.
Mother knows best
Ashley (Jen Jacob) has told Derek (Ben Gavin) that it’s too late for them, and she has started seeing Andre (Sean Freeman). The first date was an absolute disaster. But the second date went far better; mostly, Andre took Ashley on a trip to ‘Paris’ in his apartment. All looked to be as it should until several moments when we expected Ashley and Andre to kiss. Suddenly, Ashley wanted to talk about things, and not even related to them, enjoying their night. It looked like a failure to launch. In Tuesday's episode, Jan (Jerri Tubbs) gives her daughter some much-needed advice. Can Ashley's mom help her daughter realize what it is that she wants before it’s too late?

Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli) has been in bed with Joey Armstrong, literally and now figuratively, as she found a way to dig her and her husband out of the hole Doug created with his gambling addiction. Vaneesa is laundering money through her realty business for Joey as part of their agreement. Joey has now upped the ante after Doug lost his cool at the casino, and Joey had to rough him up a little. Joey has told Vanessa that he wants to double the money being laundered through her business. Careful, Vanessa, this is where it gets tricky. In Tuesday's episode, Vanessa's extra cash flow draws some unwanted attention. How will she cover this up? And will she have to lie to her friends?
