What to Expect on Beyond the Gates
After Martin (Brandon Claybon) told Smitty (Mike Manning) the full, unbridged, and unredacted version of the events that transpired that awful night two years ago, and then brought him up to speed with what happened to Kenny (Jason Vendryes) after the press conference was abruptly ended, Martin was told to leave the house. Martin has been staying with his grandparents, Anita and Vernon, desperately wanting to reconnect with his husband and to be back home to be with their children and be a family again. In Wednesday’s episode, Martin needs Nicole's help to save his marriage. Can the world-renowned psychiatrist come through for her son?
Pre-show nerves
It’s almost upon us, and the fans are champing at the bit to see the matriarch of the Dupree family, the one and only Anita Dupree (Tamara Tunie), return to the stage with her ‘sisters’ Tracy (Maria Howell) and Sharon (Bonita Brisker) as The Articulettes. This show has been a long time in the works, and it’s been a rocky road navigating the past for the three ladies, with the show being called off several times as personalities clash. It’s not surprising that Anita has fears and doubts. In Wednesday's episode, Vernon (Clifton Davis) does his best to assuage Anita's fears. Vernon is Anita’s leading cheerleader, and his calming influence will be just what Anita needs to shove her doubts aside and give it her all. What Vernon cannot influence is Fairmont Crest's loose cannon, Leslie Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant), always popping up like a bad penny. Keep your eyes peeled, Vernon!

Mostly that is. Dani has two daughters, Chelsea and Naomi, and both are troubled at the moment. One is struggling with a girlfriend. She desperately tries to prove she loves and only has eyes for her. The other is a successful lawyer navigating the reconnection of two people from a hurtful past.
