What to expect on Beyond the Gates
Martin (Brandon Claybon) has been so caught up in his woes with Kenneth (Jason Vendryes) and resolving them that we haven't even thought about the adopted children, Samantha (Najah Jackson) and Tyrell (Jaden Lucas Miller). In Tuesday's episode, A shocked Martin puts Tyrell on lockdown. What could Tyrell have possibly done now? Or does this have to do with the repercussions of Kenny's return? Whatever has caused this, look to Smitty (Mike Manning) to be trying his best to offset Martin's quick solutions because of knee-jerk reactions.
Love is in the air, or is that Derek's cologne?
Ashley (Jen Jacob) and Andre (Sean Freeman) aren't getting the easiest first night out together on a date. Dani walks into Uptown and takes one look out over the tables, seeing Ashley and Andre holding hands, looking quite comfortable, and rages out, slamming her handbag onto the bar counter. If you thought that would be the extent of being judges as a couple, nope, in Tuesday's episode, Ashley and Andre have an awkward encounter with Derek (Ben Gavin) during their night out. Derek must have put two and two together over the last couple of months and noticed Ashley's face light up whenever Andre was mentioned or she heard his voice. It has been obvious that the two had more than a slight connection and attraction. Derek knew there was something Ashley wasn't telling him, and there was more to her reluctance to marry him than what she had let on. Derek, seeing the two together, will have all his suspicions confirmed in an instant.

Dani (Karla Mosley) has been hurt by the Hamiltons more than enough for one lifetime, and no matter how those two present things, Dani wouldn't trust them as far as she could throw them. In Tuesday's episode, Dani refuses to give Bill or Hayley what they want. What is it that the couple is after? Peace and quiet? To sign the property off for sale? Dani has no reason to do either Bill (Timon Kyle Durett) or Hayley (Marquita Goings) any favors.
