What to expect on Beyond the Gates
Are the Articulettes going to perform together or won't they? That's the question everyone is asking themselves. It’s been a bittersweet reunion for Anita (Tamara Tunie), and a lot of painful memories have been brought to the surface, including some that had been buried way down deep. The loss of Barbara it turns out was not forgotten by any of them. We still have so much to learn about the events that led to the break up of the group, and the subsequent blacklisting of Anita by the other two remaining members, Tracy (Maria Howell) and Sharon (Bonita Brisker).
As much as Vernon ( Clifton Davis) has tried to make this reunion happen for Anita and play peacemaker, there is a lot of hurtful water under the bridge. In Wednesday's episode, Anita updates Vernon on the Articulettes. I can't imagine they brought this group of singers in to join the cast, even if temporarily, if they were not going to sing on stage, but time will tell, on Beyond the Gates.
Doctor Doctor
Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durett) detests hospitals, but the mini stroke he has had will be keeping him here for a little, and one person who won't mind that in the slightest is his youngest daughter, Chelsea. Why would she want to have her dad in the hospital? Does she hate him that much for what he did to their mom? No, it has a lot to do with the Neurologist who is in charge of his care.
Dr. Madison Montgomery (Kenjah McNeil) has caught Chelsea's eye since she first saw her at Uptown. Fresh from the heartache of not having reciprocated feelings from her last shot at romance, Chelea felt an instant attraction for Madison.

What Chelsea first took to be Madison's stand-offish nature was soon to be discovered as just nerves. It turned out that Madison felt nervous standing in front of a supermodel, one whom she follows on social media and admires so much. Meeting her idol like that made it appear that she wasn't that into Chelsea, when it couldn't be further from the truth. In Wednesday's episode, Madison supports Chelsea through Bill's recovery.
