What to expect on Beyond the Gates

It’s time to delve back into this ongoing storyline, and Martin (Brandon Claybon) is feeling the effects of his continued nightmares. They haunt his waking hours as well now, not just when he’s asleep, as we saw when he confronted Bill (Timon Kyle Durett) and Hayley (Marquita Goings) at the Fairmont Country Club. We will get to see the mystery man, Kenneth (Jason Vendryes), a little more as we edge closer and closer to revealing what happened all those years ago, but for now, in Friday's episode, Martin's past haunts his present. Once Martin talks to his mom, the cork is out of the bottle, and things will be set in motion that cannot be undone. Hold on, this is going to shake things up some.

In Friday's episode, Ashley (Jen Jacob) fears Derek's (Ben Gavin) intentions. But what intentions are those? Does Derek feel that if he doesn't propose to Ashley, he may lose her? The scene with Ashley and Derek both dressed to nines and sitting close together, Ashley with a very worried look on her face, a break-up isn’t on the cards if you listen to the two talk to each other, but is a significant leap forward, what the couple really needs? Ashley looks at Andre (Sean Freeman) with lost eyes, and it’s not certain whether that's just looking at something she can’t have or signs of wanting more. Whether you are a Dashley fan or not, it’s unmissable watching.

Matters of the heart

Dr Madison Montgomery (Kenjah McNeil) has certainly turned some heads since she made her debut, and now that Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla) has a read on why Madison seemed so aloof and elusive, she feels quite confident about pursuing a romantic relationship with her. Being her father's neurologist gives Chelsea every excuse to make time to visit Garland Memorial Hospital, and in Friday's episode, Chelsea’s new romance challenges her emotionally. Is Chelsea too bold for Madison? Time will tell if this new budding romance will make or break Chelsea's heart, but for now, it’s a pleasant distraction from everything else going on in Fairmont Crest for the younger of Bill’s daughters.
