Kat (Colby Muhammed) is determined to be a part of Jacob's (Jibre Hordges) investigation, whether he wants her to be or not. Jacob is worried that somehow, through Kats' involvement, she will end up with evidence inadmissible in court or tamper with the scenes through youthful exuberance. Kat is not going to let it go, however, and will pursue her own leads. In Thursday's episode, Kat receives unexpected news. Is this going to put her in danger?

Out of hospital, but not out of danger

Laura (Destiny Love) has narrowly avoided being killed on several occasions now, and after being released from the hospital, it’s not clear whether she’s more or less at risk from Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant). In Thursday's episode, Laura turns to an unlikely source for help.

Old wounds

Now that we know the painful secret that Anita (Tamara Tunie) has in her hidden drawer, it’s easier to imagine why Tracy (Maria Howell) and Sharon (Bonita Brisker) reacted the way they did upon hearing from and seeing Anita. Tracy has already stated she would participate in the reunion of the Articulettes, but Sharon would be the harder sell. Will Sharon come around? Or is the pain from the past too much to push aside and move past? Sharon blames Anita and music producer Dante Green for all that happened, and on Thursday's episode, Sharon’s bitterness threatens to derail the reunion with Anita.

Confession time

Ted (Keith D. Robinson) knows there is a good girl who has been manipulated and lied to her whole life, in Eva (Ambyr Michelle). Eva tried hard to prevent her mom from making her entrance to the anniversary party, too late it turned out, but she had a change of heart, and since then, she’s seen that her mom has some twisted delusions. Loyalty runs deep, though, and the path to the truth runs straight through Eva. In Thursday's episode, Leslie makes light of the efforts to bring her down. Meanwhile, Ted coaxes a confession out of Eva.
