With the whole of Fairmont Crest (does anyone else live there? Who are they?) turning their eyes towards the Dupree family as the fallout from the anniversary party continues to have its weight felt far and wide. Anita (Tamara Tunie) and Vernon (Clifton Davis) tried to calm the scene at the country club, but not before Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant) unleashed her truths in all their glory or horror, as the case may be. The Duprees must save face, present a united front, and spin things. On Tuesday's episode, the Duprees reclaim their power with a defiant appearance at the country club.

Is a mother's love ever really gone?

Eva (Ambyr Michelle) is getting an earful from every side, and rightfully so, but it’s taken its toll. She has been kicked out of her home by her mother, and that blow hurt. On Tuesday's episode, Eva makes a final plea for her mother’s love. But for Leslie, will it be enough? Leslie gets angrier and angrier at the world as one after another people turn on her, not at all sympathetic to her cause, nor her method of delivery. And the one person it all comes back to is Eva, who hasn't been discarded by her father. It remains to be seen if a mother's love is ever really gone.

In Tuesday's episode, Martin (Brandon Claybon) begins to unravel the truth behind a haunting memory that could destroy the family's legacy. These recurring nightmares are at the heart of yet another Dupree scandal, just waiting to have the closet door burst open with more skeletons long thought to be buried. An incident from Martin's past, involving a violent outburst from Martin at a roadside, threatens to resurface, and the Duprees can ill afford to have another public staining of their image. This one is especially damaging as if outed in the public light could derail and end Martin's career as a congressman or any presidential ambitions. And like most Dupree family skeletons, it was the job of Bill Hamilton to see that they were dealt with and made to go away, and like Ted’s affair, this too could surface and rock the landscape of Fairmont Crest.
