What to expect on Beyond the Gates

Dani needed to get out of her headspace and take up a new challenge that didn't involve her daughter, Chelsea (RhonniRose Mantilla). The Duprees had a successful modelling career between them, but now, to be relevant again in her own right, Dani is about to undertake a bold new venture with her bestie, Pamela (Cady McClain). The two plan to start their modeling talent agency, will they pursue Samantha (Najah Jackson)? And pit themselves at odds with Chelsea and Kat(Colby Muhammed)? In Friday's episode, Dani and Pamela chase a risky new dream.

Between a rock and a hard place

Doug has made bold claims that he was going to give up gambling; he even made an honest attempt at talking to his wife and was so close to telling her he had a gambling problem. Since then, he’s broken his hand and can’t operate for the time being and has confessed, but it was to Nicole( Daphnée Duplaix), the renowned psychiatrist, and not his wife. In a moment of weakness, Doug didn't come home one night and spent the night losing at the casino. After Joey (Jon Lindstrom) was rebuffed by Vanessa (Lauren Buglioli), Joey came after Doug and made it clear he was out of time and needed to pay the debt or have money laundered through his wife's business. In Friday's episode, Doug finds himself out of options. Joey left the room, having told Doug that if he opened his mouth, he’d break his other hand, and he had better not make Joey go to the effort of having to find him at his home.

On the right track

Kat certainly doesn't want Eva to be a part of the family and still has many unanswered questions. The path to those answers goes through Leslie (Trisha Mann-Grant). Can Kat stay the course and prevent Leslie from wreaking further havoc in Fairmont Crest? Leslie is not finished; that much we know. In Friday's episode, Kat closes in on Leslie.

Moving on or moving up

Nicole’s world is upside down and inside out; her family has rallied around her to make her feel surrounded by love, but she still can’t shake the feeling that nothing is or will be the same again.
